I had a Honda Ridgeline which I loved. However, when I saw this vehicle on the dealers lot I immediately fell in love with it and knew I had to own it. i really don't like driving. However, I love driving this car. It gives me a sense of adventure. I am a retired senior citizen and felt it was my time to enjoy my whims. This car is absolutely wonderful. Wrap around seating is comfortable. I have the MP3 radio with the woofer and it is awesome. Previously I only occasionally listened to the readio. Now I have it on all the time. The Sirius radio is fantastic. I get the feeling that I'm in the middle of the stage. I had considered buying a 2002 Spyder but discovered it had been in an accident. Before this I did not even know of the existance of the Spyder. So I went to the Mitsubishi dealer in Raleigh and discovered this beautiful car on the lot with 19000 miles. I tried negotiating and the dealer gave a little but knew he had a gem and had the upper hand. I almost walked away hoping to find another one but could not resist. It was the only one on the lot. The car's performance and power passes expectations. Not the easiest to find in a 6 speed, I drove both at dealer ship you want the 6 speed manual. The sixth gear does is not required till you hit over 50 and lowers you back to the 2000 rpm range ( outstanding fuel economy for hiway). There are rumors if US sales do not improve for Mitsubishi, you may need to go to Japan to get one in the near future. I also own a 3000GT which is 10 years old and has wear and tear parts replaced and is paid for. My 3000GT had its timing belt / water pump replaced prior to failure 695.00. In addition to it required a master / slave cylinder replacement for clutch.500.00 not bad for 10 years. Anyway kinda partial to Mitsubishi hope they plan to continue to support our market....read morehide

Love rag tops, and this is the sports car that I can drive ALL year round. Great pick up, and I seem to be getting 26- 27 MPG. We shall see how it hold up to Chicago Winters, ...Talked to those who have the Coup, and they say No Problem. Blind spots, use your mirrors .. get a little bubble stick on mirror,..it helps when the tops up. Back set makes a very nice shelf. All in ALL,..Great CAR!!...read morehide

This is a fun car, plain and simple. I bought it as my summer car and it delivers. The GT makes it fun because of the engine, but nothing beats its topless feature. I'm a little disappointed at speaker rattle with deep base given they hype the sound system so much. In its price category, its one of the best values. FANGS on bumper don't have enough clearance--crack!

Lots of looks--compliments--I absolutely love my car! It is like driving a flying carpet on the highway.
My only pet peeve is the "fangs" on the front bumpers. While they give the car a "custom" unique look--both of mine got cracked because there isn't enough clearance underneath to park up against concrete bumpers in parking lots. Better watch out where ya park!...read morehide

I own a 2000 eclipse GT and love it. Bought it brand new in 2000, and will be updating to the 2009 this year. I love this vehicle. Performance is beyond belief.

We have had the GS spyder since 6-30-08 and just love it. (You don't need the GT as it looks the same and you don't need the guzzler V6 and Premium gas that the GT requires)...Although this GS spyder is our 4th convertable, other's of other make's e.g. chrysler, olds and dodge. The spyder is the most fun!! and we are 55 and 62 yrs old. Got the solar yellow...Not for the attention but because it looks great! As I said, it could use power driver seat as we share the driving and have to adjust the seat all the time so power seat would have been a great feature. Maybe in the 2010....Mitsu are you listening? Fun car and the fact that it has front wheel drive and living in the Chicago area we will be able to drive it year round. Not so with crossfire, solstice and other small convertables. and Mitsu great warranty.

I don't have the 2009 edition but I did purchase the 2008 and we shopped for months for a small convertible. We looked at the Sky because it is a beautifully designed car but no truck or storage and we can carry kids, golf clubs, groceries, and two Schnauzers. Love the way the car handles and looks and the top is up and down in seconds with you in the seat pushing a button. Good gas mileage about 22mpg around town.
