I been doing my research on cars and my top choices were Lexus and Honda. I didn't even consider looking at Nissan. Well I of course loved the Lexus but the mainteinance on the car alone would have been a pain and I would had to buy used afford the car. I wasn't really impressed with the Honda Coupe. I felt that it look cheap on the inside and the ride of rough. Now the Nissan even though it wasnt my first choice I LOVE my car. The drive is smooth, I love the style of the car and I love the smart key and the push start....gas mileage is GREAT...I have had my car for less than a month and can drive for almost 2wks before i need to put gas in it. Only compliant I have is the nosey engine...besides that am a happy owner!!...read morehide

My wife and I just finished a 6000 mile roadtrip through the West. Our car crossed over into a 6 digit odometer reading while we were on the road.
Believe it or not, we got 30 mile per gallon over the 6000 miles.
The only thing that I don't like about it is the fact that the automatic transmiission whines as it shifts through the gears....read morehide

You feel every bump in the road with this car, no wishbone suspension like the other Japanese cars. This is like driving an vintage car, no suspension!
I get a knocking vibration in the steering when driving. The shop told me that they did wheel balancing but I still get the noise.
After spending $25,000 on my 2009 Altima you would think Nissan would want me to be happy due to this being my third Nissan product. I would not recommend purchasing because Nissan will not stand behind the cars they make....read morehide

Great car, great look, and you can get it at an excellent price. The Altima 2.5S blows any Camry out of the water. If you have been in either it's like comparing apples and oranges.
The Altima is clearly the better car! It has the better gas mileage no matter what the commercials say, the Altima is less expensive than the Camry yet it has better looks both inside and out.
You can fit tall people in the car as well unlike the Camry which doesn't even come close in leg room.
Excellent Car for an excellent price!...read morehide

I purchased my new 2009 2.5SL Nissan Altima in late May. I was attracted to it by it's nice style and saw so many on the road. The Aurora dealership that I purchased it from were very informative, friendly and customer focused. I have received excellent gas mileage of 25 mpg which was one of my main reasons that drew me to purchase it. I have found it to be a very comfortable ride as is the interior amenities. I have recommended it to all of my family and friends....read morehide

The 2009 Nissan Altima 2.5S is one of the best mid-size sedans. The best being the Ford Fusion. Everything in the performance is excellent. The comfort is perfect I couldn't ask for anymore. Reliability also perfect, it was the most reliable best mid-size car. It's exterior looks very luxurious. Overall I think this is an awesome car, one of the bests. It just barely trails the Ford Fusion for 1st....read morehide

We tested several mid-size sedans and settled on the Altima 2.5 S. That included the Camry LE which is underpowered and seemed smaller inside. Love the CVT - just step on the gas and it revs up without the need for a clunky downshift. The extra horsepower (over Camry and Accord) and relatively light weight give it decent zip while still getting decent gas mileage. Had a used one intially that got T-boned. The side curtain airbags saved my wife from serious head injury. Didn't even think twice before replacing the wrecked car with a new Altima....read morehide

I love my Altima!
It's stylish, comfortable and very economical. I drove from Longview, Texas to Amarillo on one tank of gas! I enjoy the safety features, handling and interior comforts.
I am less than pleased, however, with the rather mismatched acceleration noise. It sounds a bit like a "teen car" on acceleration. I expected a smoother, more sophisticated sound for the price and calibre of this car....read morehide

I bought my "06" Altima 2.5 LE back in Dec of "08" used with just over 14K miles on it. So far I love it. Around town I'm getting 24.6mpg but haven't taken any real hwy trips with it yet. Good accelertion for a 2.5L engine. Handles well but a tiny bit noisy at times. Nice sound system and decent interior room. Nice large trunk helps a lot with shopping/trips. Over all I'm very pleased with this car and wouldn't heasitate to buy another one in the future but hope to get 100K before then....read morehide

I have a 2009 Altima and I feel the vehicle is a nice car to purchase. I enjoy everything about my car. Everyone that has rode with me has told me it has a smooth ride. The only thing I dont like about the car is the payment but you have to pay for what you want.
