I have only had the Maxima for 3 months and just got to 1,000 miles, but I think that I am a little scared because this car really gets up and go so smoothly that you do not realize that you are moving that fast. At first I was dead set on an Acura, but I test drove the Maxima and Acura three times each and the Acura do not get up and go like the Maxima. It stalls and putters before it is able to go to the next level. The Maxima changes over so smoothly that the next thing you know you are FLYINGGGGG! The car has all of the amenities of the luxury car, and some of them are better than the luxury cars. I feel like I have a luxury car with a sports car engine!...read morehide

This is my second Maxima after two Altimas. Each car/model has gotten better and better. Purchased a '09 Maxima SV in black. Sweet car! Has all the latest technology, a great ride, and very comfortable driver's seat. While pricey for a Nissan...it is a good value for what you get compared to luxury cars in the same class...read morehide

We purchased the sv with sport package option. This car is a performer and this is what we were looking for in a reasonably priced 4 door sedan. The ride, handling, and plenty of great options. The fit and finish are superb. We have taken two, one thousand mile round trips since our purchase in May of this year and at arrival of our destination suffered no fatigue... my wife is 63 and I reached my 70th birthday this past October. We had looked at the G 37 Infinity and also the ES 350 Lexus before deciding to buy the Maxima. We've never regretted our decision. More value at a lesser price....read morehide

I bought my 09 Maxima in April and I love it! It has enough horsepower to really get up and go, and all the hightech gadgets tell you everything from when you need an oil change to low tire pressure, and on and on. Plus, the driver's seat is cooled, which is great because I live in FL.
This car has everything you could want in a vehicle - and it's roomy, which I wasn't expecting. The only negative thing I would say is that if you have kids, they will play with the buttons in the console in the backseat, which can get annoying, but you can turn them off.
I wish the car was a little less expensive, since you can get a small Lexus for the same price, but I love it nonetheless and feel it's worth the steep pricetag....read morehide

There's one word that has come to my mind whenever I've driven the 2009 Nissan Maxima, all the way from test driving it down to now. That word is FUN. I love that Nissan has really gone 'All Out' on this model.
Its a FUN car to cruise with, play with, and fly with. Mine in particular is the 3.5 SV loaded with Premium + Technology Packages. The Dual Moon-Roof is hot, Bose sound is impeccable and its a nice 'big' sedan, which I wanted so that I feel like I have my space (a big jump from a 2002 Honda Civic Coupe).
I'm a bid disappointed that the 2010 model has a redesigned Technology console, including live Weather service from XM, and better iPod integration (however the iPod in the 09 with Technology package is still great; it is a full iPod cable, not just an Aux. jack; it shows the song names, playlists, and is controlled through the stereo / steering wheel).
All in all, I could have gotten a Lexus or BMW, but I feel like I did better spending the money on a top of the line Nissan that they say looks MORE like an Infinity than Infinities do (all its missing is the 2-hand classic Infinity clock in the console, everything else is IDENTICAL! I test drove them, trust me.). Basically, I believe I was better off with the best Nissan than the most basic Lexus. I still stand by that, 5 months later, and still love my car. In fact, I loved the Max so much that after 3 months of owning it, I actually went & bought my wife a 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe 2.5 (white with Premium package; tan interior).
I get excited every time I see one on the road too. I love this car. I really love it....read morehide

I love everything about this car. This wasnt on my list of cars to even consider and my husband insisted that I at the very least look at it and I fell in love with it and bought it that same day!!

This is the fourth Nissan I have owned and it is the best yet. Looks great, has loads of power, gets good gas mileage and is super quiet on the highway. Another reviewer mentioned the passenger seat would vibrate and there is a service bulletin out on it and it is an easy fix.

The car is so nice good on gas , very fast accelerates so fast .
but there is a lot of things that I hate about this car , like unkown noises coming out of the car on bumbs .
mine pulls to the right if you left the steering wheel they did the alignment to the car and still doing it though it only has 900 miles .
The Passenger seat keeps vibrating I sent it to the dealer and they told me all Maximas have this Problem .
for 35000 dollars it should be better than this ....read morehide

I love my 07 Maxima. If you like a fast car and a great look then you will love the maxima. Mine is fully loaded with everything you might want and need out of a car. When I'm in my car I turn heads. Its a great car with a lot of power. Thanks Perry Nissian
