We have 1500 miles on our 2009 SL. Traded in a 2004 GMC Envoy XL SLT. I was worried about losing the third row seat and long wheelbase ride. The Murrano is larger than it looks. It seems much wider than the Envoy. My wife and I don't bang elbows anymore. I can't imagine why anyone in the deep south would pay for AWD, it's simply not needed.
We get 23.5 miles highway and 19 City. The Envoy got 18 highway and 14 City. Doesn't sound like much, but we can see the difference in the checking account at the end of the month.
My police unit (2006 Chevy Impala) wouldn't come close to catching our Murrano in a staight line. The Murrano is fast even by car standards. The CVT transmission amazes me. No pause for gear changes. Why don't all cars have these? The RPM's never spike so the engine should last longer....read morehide

Not to sure what Betsy is talking about, my Murano had the auto headlights..In fact once priced and compared to the Ford Edge and Toyatas this Murano is cheaper and has more options. One of the best features of a Nissan is that it has loads of power for the freeway and still gest 23mpg at 70 mph!! I have owned many cars and I always come back to Nissan for performance and price..this SVU is as good as a BMW X5 at a fraction of the price..It out preforms my 2006 Murano. Nissan always stands behinds it cars and it is no wonder why, they just do not break down and are built with pride....read morehide

My husband and I bought the 2009 Nissan Murano almost a month ago, it is truly a fantastic vehicle. Its in a class of its own, in my book. It is a pleasure to own and drive. The 2009 Murano drives VERY smooth and quiet, with GREAT gas mileage !!!!! Beautiful Interior, with various compartments hidden away. It has fold down back seat and roll away rug in cargo area for potential messy cargo. Car purchases are such a risky decision, what a relief we certainly bought the right vehicle !!! GORGEOUS!! and drives great ! V6 at its best....read morehide

Good car, but does not have alot of features that it competitiors have. No automatic headlights, no one-touch power up for windows and can't roll up windows using the key from outside. My Maxima had more options than this. Nissan took out many features and made it extra to raise the price of the vehicle. Could have gotton a pilot for same price with many more standard features. Needs improvment on the interior. No places to put anything. Interior not well designed....read morehide

I have own this car for 1 month after drive other similar and more expesive SUVs. The good thing to consider is the fact that you get all the good stuff without paid a huge premium like with BMW, Lexus,...
I was looking for something practical and capable of dealing with my daily requirements, kids, dogs... I found this car that it is powerful, good looking and practical. As much as I drive it as much I like it...read morehide

This CrossOver is fantastic it has all the gadgets for a decent price. It handles very well and is very quiet, can bearly hear road or wind noise. I really loved the Infiniti FX35 but I this one is just as good - got more toys for $7000 less. Don't think I'll ever have a need for the AWD but didn't have a choice with LE...that's something NISSAN should look at changing. I read many reviews about earlier models, believe most of those issues have been resolved. This CrossOver is awesome!!!...read morehide

Thank you Nissan for such a wonderful and fun to drive vehicle. I test drove the Lexus RX350 and it is not as good as this new Murano.

Great replacement for my wife's 1996 Maxima. Our first cross over. Have not noticed the reversing brake problem described in reviews of earlier models. Navigation system may not have street details found in other GPS system. We are getting used to the transmission which does not shift. So far no problems noted with this evolution in power train technology. With the Nav system sound combination, if you are not a techie, you will have some learning curve with the variety of selections. The power drop seats are a nice option for those which will constantly drop the rear seats for hauling. My wife loves the auto opening feature of the rear door. Compared to the 2007 and early models the biggest improvement is the dashboard. The lights can be adjusted with your driving on hills. Overall, great car with just 600 miles on the odometer. Hoping the car continues to perform well over the remainder of its life cycle. We consider it a keeper for our family. We normally drive a vehicle for 10 years or so before trading it....read morehide
