Purchased As New
This car uses very cheap plastic material on dashboard and door panels . This plastic makes lot of irritating noise when outside temperatures change(due to expansion and contractions). I took it to two dealers but they could not fix it.

Well, I own the '09 Murano and when I test drove one, I was just in love with the car. The trim level doesn't seem to be matter that much becuase the only difference is the navigation, moon roof, wheel, extra button on center console, and the seating. What I love about the car is that it has really big tank for the gas.. not sure but I think it's 40... anyway, car feels really smooth but you need brake and accelerate little harder than other SUVs and Sedans... which really don't matter that much... I love the CVT though other people have different opinion than I do about the gear noise... I worried about the blindspot before purchasing this vehicle but there wasn't any problem and everything was clear... People are worrying about the what kind of gas they should use, but it doesn't really matter though it may cause some noisier engine... I drove infinity FX, its cousin, and Murano was really nice comparable to FX which was about 10 grand more on price tag. Overall, I am loving the Murano and it's really fun to drive and I recommend to other drivers out there....read morehide

I just got '09 Nissan Murano and I am very happy with it...
although it's S model with standard everything, it's still looks nice...
The car was roomy and the trunk was really big...
The ride was really smooth and it handles great!!
One problem that i have is that you have to press onto gas little
harder than other cars. It's too bad they don't have the standard alarm for the backing and you need a fully loaded model for the backing camera...
Most people thinks that Murano is ugly but it's better looking
than other SUVs out there like Pilot, Edge, and etc...
The car value was good and got 3000 off the MSRP...
Overall, I am loving this car.... Its' fun to drive and I'll
recommend to someone looking forward crossover suv and pretty decent
price......read morehide

I bought this car in 2007, after my BMW X5 was returned as a lemon. Not a BMW, but well worth the money at less than half the price! The seats were designed by an Orthopedic surgeon and are super comfortable and supportive on the back. The trunk space is deceiving, it looks small from the outside, but is very roomy inside! I wish this model came with a trunk release button, just out of habit on every other car I've owned. This model lacks a bit in pick up speed, but handles very nicely. Easy to drive and park. A great Mommy car without the "Mommy-van" stigma. Get the trunk liner, it's essential! I love my Murano, but the new styles are much smaller, so I don't know if I'll get another one....read morehide

I would have gotten the Murano, but I didn't like the ugly front grille and the gas mileage isn't that great either. Ride is rough and too much plastic around that it appears a cheap SUV. I got to look at other brands that would give a better look, more MPG, ride, interior/exterior appearance, price and warranty!...read morehide

Everyone beware! The Murano is a beautiful car but workmanship is shoddy and you will end up paying for it if you don't lemon law your car! Our brakes squeeled from the day 2 of ownership- so loud it made all of our neighbors wince /people in shopping parking lots jump. ( 2006 Murano ) Nissan has known about this brake pad rotor problem for years and has not addressed it,even in 2009. I did alot of researching and found that i was among many who had this problem. Very dismayed that I got dupped by looks! We were really lucky we lemon lawed ours.
Another BIG defect was our AC vent tubing disconnected in the front part of the dash and flooded our vehicle w/ 2 inches of water! We did not know this till I noticed a musty smell after a week and noticed a drip on the underneath of the outside of the drivers side. Nissan had to pull out the whole carpet and dry the car out and replace carpet. I have to say that our dealership service dept. in Kahului was great. They were really nice people but could not make up for Nissan's problems. I felt so sorry for them because they had to face customers for Nissan who just won't address problems. Vehicles look great but have LOTS of problems. I was not the only new customer that had problems in line at the service dept.
They never got the squeel fixed. I tell all of my friends who own newer Muranos to take it in to the dealer /have it looked at ASAP and start a paper trail in case you have to lemon law it. Nissan has not addressed this problem/they still are working on a "fix" because they are selling on looks.
BEWARE of buying for style and not quality! I loved my Murano's style and looks but my car was in the shop every month for one problem or another. We owned the vehicle for a year. I tried to have faith but lost it after a year. Others who are starting to have a problem should report it so Nissan does not keep selling defective cars!...read morehide

My husband and I bought the 2009 Nissan Murano almost a month ago, it is truly a fantastic vehicle. Its in a class of its own, in my book. It is a pleasure to own and drive. The 2009 Murano drives VERY smooth and quiet, with GREAT gas mileage !!!!! Beautiful Interior, with various compartments hidden away. It has fold down back seat and roll away rug in cargo area for potential messy cargo. Car purchases are such a risky decision, what a relief we certainly bought the right vehicle !!! GORGEOUS!! and drives great ! V6 at its best....read morehide
