Have driven the versa hatchback for about 1600mi so far. I average 36 MPG. About 75% of my driving is highway and 25% is city. The interior is very nice with comfortable seats that hold you snug. My only con would be that the ratio between the gears are too close. Once I am moving I can shift from 2nd to 4th and 4th to 6th without much hesitation when I have the rpm's above 2500 and I am not demanding quick acceleration from the engine. I'm sure if Nissan had put more space between the gear ratios, the versa would have better MPG. The ride is very comfortable and handles very nice for the size of the car. If you are looking for a hatchback, this is not a bad choice.
