Have driven the versa hatchback for about 1600mi so far. I average 36 MPG. About 75% of my driving is highway and 25% is city. The interior is very nice with comfortable seats that hold you snug. My only con would be that the ratio between the gears are too close. Once I am moving I can shift from 2nd to 4th and 4th to 6th without much hesitation when I have the rpm's above 2500 and I am not demanding quick acceleration from the engine. I'm sure if Nissan had put more space between the gear ratios, the versa would have better MPG. The ride is very comfortable and handles very nice for the size of the car. If you are looking for a hatchback, this is not a bad choice....read morehide

I have to say my car was awesome. I was t-boned at an intersection earlier this month. The other driver was going 35 mph. My side airbags allowed me to walk away without a scratch. I am currently looking for another!!!!

I purchased this car about 6 weeks ago along with a 2009 Altima. I like the Versa more than the Altima (my wife drives the Altima). I traded in a 2006 Grand Marquis and like driving the Versa much more. It's so easy to get in and out of parking places and has a surprisingly roomy interior. I like that you can pump up the seat. The Altima is nice but it seems like you are sitting on the ground as opposed to the Versa. My legs aren't stretched out in the Versa-you sit more vertical as opposed to feeling as though you are lounging while driving. Haven't checked the gas mileage (I figure it gets what it gets). It does seem to take the A/C awhile to get working....read morehide

I test drove the Matrix and fit. Had decided to go get the matrix but before i did i went to see the Versa just to say I compared them all. Smooth ride same if not more options than the matrix for 2 to 4 thousand cheaper. The CVT transmission is nice. Drove on the 405 with no traffic and it was Nice!!!!!! Dont be fooled take a look at this vehicle before you purchase a daily driver. Im glad I took that extra day to purchase a vehicle and dont regret it....read morehide
