I purchased my 2wd Xterra X about 2 months ago and couldn?t be happier. I purchased the base model with the only option of automatic transmission. I was able to negotiate the price to under 20k and feel I got a fair deal. I have no regrets choosing the 2wd model over the 4wd as the VDC/traction control system works well (although being in the Midwest it was extremely hard to find the 2wd I was looking for). So far I have no major complaints, the car rides well, is easy to drive, and has plenty of room for all my gear. As long as you don?t accelerate hard you should get decent mileage for an suv (I have been averaging 19 city and 25 hwy ? honestly). I knew getting the x model it wouldn?t have much but I do wish it would have an ipod adapter built in. Sometimes it can be had to see when backing up, but other than that it has been great. I have also been getting a ton of complements on how sweet my car looks!
