Awesome vehicle. Very dependable. Already have 200,000 mi. No problems. I would buy this car again.

Bought this for my wife after owning a Nissan Cube in Japan for three years. Love it, lots of get up and go with the camry engine and still avg 32 mpg with an even mix of city and hwy driving. Roomy and comfortable. Only complaint is the tires were terrible, hopefully this new set lasts longer.

I unwillingly traded my beloved 2004 Subaru WRX for the XB. I didn't want to like it, but all I can say, is that it grows on you very fast. It has a crazy amount of seating room in it. I'm 6'4 250lbs and I can sit behind myself with no seat adjustments which I consider an amazing feat for a 16k vehicle that rides on a Corolla chassis.
Performance is very satisfying for what it is. It can't hold a candle to my old WRX, but you'll never have problems negotating traffic, plenty of passing power. I also live in the Appalachian mountains and I have never had to downshift out of 5th gear for any mountain or hill.
The only upgrade we got was the Pioneer stereo. The sound is very good for "paper" speakers and the IPOD interaction is very intuative and satisfying...read morehide

This is my first new car purchase. I've been driving it for about six months now. Great gas mileage average around 26mpg the best being 33mpg highway. Love the room for this size car and its fun to drive. I dont like the way you look for songs when using your ipod because your hand gets in the way of the screen. Viewing whats around you can be tough sometimes. But all around it is a great buy....read morehide

I bought the car this past weekend, so i've been driving it for about 4 days now. I can honestly say I love this car! It is small on the oiutside and fits anywhere, but when you go inside, there is so much room that you feel like you're inside an SUV! It is so amazing! I traded in my dream car, a 2004 Honda Accord, and maybe this is the reason I am complaining about the gas. I drive about 200 miles a week and with my accord, I had to put gas about every two weeks. With the Xb, it looks like I will be putting in gas on a weekly basis. At the end of the day, I don't mind because the XB is less noisy, more roomy, and much more stylish than my accord. Now to mention, my husband who picks out all the flaws in a car, loves it! I made a great investment!...read morehide

I was deciding between a Toyota Matrix and a Scion xB and Im glad for my decision! This car gets great mileage (not the best but good), has a powerful engine comparing to its size but the think that most surprised me was how roomy it is! We recently moved and everything was in that car, including my family! Great value...read morehide

I like this car, it is roomy and it can really move for an economy car. I kind of like the way it looks as well. It is also very fun to drive. However, there are some limitations. First, the seats are hard, it is noisy, there are some blind spots from the back pillars. But what I dislike the most is the poor gas mileage for a 4 cylinder engine. I get about 23 mpg from mostly highway driving. Big switch from the 33 mpg I was getting from my 1995 Honda Civic....read morehide

I bought my XB 2009 in Oct. 2008. I traded in the car of my dreams 2007 New Beetle VW convertible for this car and have never had second thoughts. I am not a tall person but my brothers are and they fit inside very comfortably with lots of head and leg room. Great to drive around in and everyone stares at you admiring the car. When I drive by another XB owner we have this type of "bond" knowing we both made a great purchase....its cool. I am in my 40's but let me tell you, my XB brings out the youth in me that now my girls call me a "cool mom."...read morehide

i used to drive a mustang gt and so i'm used to the power of a v8. the xb is obviously not comparable to a mustang but i'd say the power in this car is peppy. i love the way the new xb looks compared to the first model. its really comfortable and roomy on the inside. my husband is 6'-2" and he's got plenty of room in the front and in the back. the xb is also good for shorter people cuz i fit behind the wheel just fine and i'm 5'-2". i got the manual transmission and i'm glad i did. the only things i would want changed would be more lumbar support on the front passenger seat. there is only 1 a/c adaptor and it only charges when the ignition is on. and last the gauge that shows time, ave mpg, range, etc. it would've been nice to see all this data all at once instead of one at a time. there is no clock on the stock radio. i think you get a lot for what you pay for. its fun to drive and great on mileage. i've had it for a month and i'm averaging 33mpg since i'm a conservative driver and commute 50mi in one direction....read morehide

I wasn't crazy about buying a Japanese vehicle, but after buying and driving the Scion XB for 6 months, I am much more comfortable. The vehicle has more power than most people realize. It's down right fast. Cargo space is plentiful and if you have a kid or two, you can't beat this vehicle for the price. I wish it got better gas mileage but I guess you give that up for the extra power. Highly recommend buying this car if your on a budget and need something fast, roomy, and just plain stylish....read morehide
