I owned a 2002 Avalon for 7 years. Despite being pleased I swore I would never own the same car twice in a row. After testing Lexus and Infiniti I went back to the Avalon Limited. I won't claim Avalon beats Lexus but I felt little difference in ride or performance, and I actually like my Ivory interior better than anything Lexus offered....read morehide

Traded in a Cadillac Eldorado. Avalon has a smoother ride, more seating room, much better gas mileage using regular rather than premium required by Cadillac. My wife and I both really enjoy driving the car. The exterior looks leave quite a bit to be desired but after adding a custom grille and after market polished aluminum wheels it looks very nice now....read morehide

Most likely would consider buying another Avalon, but may take a serious look at the Lincoln. I drive a town car and the seats in the towncar are far more comfortable than the hard leather seats of the Avalon.

Best value is the XL at under $28,000. It gives you the power train and A/C as in other more expensive models. It comes with lots of extras that operate manually. On the road milage averages 31+ on trips of 450 miles. Ride is quiet and comfortable.

My wife drives a 2005 Avalon XLS. This is a quality car with excellent reliabilty. Never had any problems with it. Good mileage both highway and city. I drive a Toyota Tacoma and I am very pleased with this vehicle.

Have a 2008 I bought new after the 2009 came out and the car is mechanically perfect. I like the simple uncluttered but very functional instrument panel, Much more room than the Cadillac CTS we tested. Gas mileage is impressive considering the power the V6 puts out. Best choice I could have made. The only thing missing is a better choice of colors. Most car lots today look like black and white TV. We have the Mirage Blue with the Ivory interior and it's a classy looking car. Highly recommend it....read morehide

Have a 2005 model purchased new "Love It". Great stability and suspension, stylish inside and out. Ample seating room in rear seat and like the reclining position. Has lots of optional extras that are standard on this model. It's a keeper !!!

This car is definitely a sleeper. While it's looks don't reach out and grab you, once you get behind the wheel the power, the ride and the handling amaze you. Not only that, the gas mileage is great. The average gas mileage has never gone below 25 mpg.
All the controls are easy to use. The interior is one of the best I have ever seen.
Before I purchased this one I looked at several cars that were much more expensive. The cost of those cars didn't make much sense. At $25,000 the Avalon was almost a steal. This is my third Toyota in a row since 1990....read morehide

I bought my 2006 Avalon new and could not be happier with it. I've mostly driven compacts, in part because I am a short person, so I had some concern about a larger car. But with the seat adjustments I am just fine. And the gas mileage is spectacular for a larger car. I have gotten 36/37 mph several times when driving on an Interstate highway with the cruise control set at about 70 mph.
The Avalon is comfortable and excellent for transporting my husband who is disabled....read morehide

My not2happy applied to another review (not to our Avalon). I don't know how to change it. We love our Toyota Avalon, it's very reliable. I think its a good value because we have only had to keep up with the general maintenance and it has never let us down. It is super comfortable and roomy. I think it is a pretty car with plenty of pep. It's fuel consumption is very competitive with some smaller cars I've heard about. I would purchase another one if this one ever gives out while we are still able to drive....read morehide
