Great Car gone cheap. Slow pickup. Look smaller than previous years model. Cheap wheel covers.

I hate the way it changes. The transmission is sluggish and going uphill is horrible, especially if you let up one ounce on the accelerator.
Wish I hadn't sold my 2003 Camry LE. I loved that car!!!

This is a much overated and over priced car. The paint job is the worst. My hood had about 300 paint chip in it . I have a new car 4 months now and there isn't 1 chip in it. The breaks were gone in 24k miles and I needed the rotors cut. Original tires were garbage, they only lasted 17K miles. Toyota has really cheapened its car. Probably as a result of much improved american cars and especially sales of Hyundai. Toyota is all about its PAST reputation and cheaping of the cars new to increase there profit margin. The Camry is a definate no....read morehide

Automatic transmission seems to experience resistence when letting up on the gas at slower speeds of 20 to 35 mph. It is irritating.

I have just sold my 2007 Camry LE, and replaced it with the 2009 Camry LE. I have had now the car for one week, and have 150 miles on it. Two major defects have already emerged. First, the car produces a noticable jerk when first set in gear (drive mode). Second, when the car cruises at 40 mph, and the gas pedal is slightly released (to economize on gas) and the RPMs slow down to about 1,000, the car starts producing a high-pitched, very noticeable, screeching noise from the transmission. Needless to say, I am totally stunned: a brand new Toyota, that costs more than Nissan, or Honda for that matter, has such sub-standard quality. I hope the Toyota manufacturer will address this transmission problem as soon as possible. I also hope that this is not an indication of upcoming major mechanical issues....read morehide

In SUM - very bad car. The transmission is irresponsible, do not shifts properly, the ride is hard. Inside smells on plastic. The interior is bad - too much POOR quality plastic. I am looking to replace this car ASAP.

I was disappointed when I test drove this vehicle because it rode rough, had tons of blind spots because of the way car is designed, the A-pilar looks big and blocks your views, c pilars as well. The navigation is a little dificult to use, seats are uncomfortable. If you are a tall person, you will feel as if you are sitting to high up and almost touch the ceiling with your head. It isn't that roomy. I overal just didnt like the car....read morehide

Bought this Camry XLE V6 which was recommended by my elderly parents. It's a pretty quiet riding car at lower speeds and fairly comfortable. The V6 is smooth and brisk. I was dissapointed at some of the cheapness in the interior. Already some silver paint is starting to wear off spots, rear visibility, the glovebox doesn't line up to the dash very well and there are now a couple of rattles inside going over bumps! The exterior is as plain and cheap looking as they come and it's very hard to tell the difference between a base model and my top of the line XLE. At least they could put a door strip or a piece of chrome on the exterior to jazz it up a bit. As is this is a very boring appliance akin to a kenmore stove plain colorless and blah but it gets the job done. No wonder I see so many older folks driving them around....read morehide

I have 2003 Toyota Camry LE. Yesterday I purchased new 2009 Camry LE instead of my old Ford.
Unlike 2003 model, 2009 has too many plastic panels inside. Even back of the front seat and the front seat pockets are plastic.
They removed ventilation from the back! This means that during the Summer you have to decide whether to make yourself cool and rear seat passengers sweaty, or freeze to death in the front seat by making rear seat passengers cool.
Even though the driver's seat is just as adjustible as in 2003 model, the lowest seat position is much higher than in 2003 model. Being 6.3 I feel it immediately. Now I have to look at the road from below the roof.
Side console had 2 levels and it helped to organize your stuff inside a lot. Now there is only one with a small movable shelf.
My 2003 car tends to pull to the left even if I drive straight. It is not obvious but noticeable if you relax your hands on the weel. 2009 seems to have the same problem.
I have the subjective feeling that the noise inside the cabin in 2009 Camry is higher than in 2003 model....read morehide
