love this car. if your having trouble with lights reflecting on windshield read the manual there is a switch for day and night . getting better mpg as car gets broken in about 46mpg right now, front seat would be great if it was a 4 way power friends that are tall are impressed with the leg room i love the smart key not having to look for key fob when arms are full, and being abe to relock the whole car from the hatchback, again read the manual to get the best out of the car it's our first prius and we could not be happier it was the last one on the lot in our area...read morehide

I recently bought the Prius 2010 3rd generation about a week ago, my previous car was a Toyota Tacoma that was manual EVERYTHING. I was used to having my keys to my car on a lanyard around my neck to prevent myself from getting locked out of my car but with this new Prius, there isn't necessarily a key to start the car. There's a little control that sends a wireless notification to your car when your about two feet away from the driver's door to automatically turn on it's cabin lights, also acts as a smart key to turn the vehicle on w/o being a key. Have a tendency to lock yourself out of your car? The car will beep automatically if you leave your keys in the car!
There's so much room that I have to get used to but is making much use for it since my boyfriend is a tall feller - he's 6' and sits comfortably in the passenger seat. Controls on the steering wheel is very useful and if you get a car with bluetooth, it's AMAZING. There's a little compartment in the center console that will fit a purse, wallet or anything you'd need to store closely to you.
I'm still getting used to all the gag its and I do need to get used to the bulkyness of the car.
btw, I love the GPM because I'm known to be lazy with putting gas in my car....read morehide

I have owned my 2007 Prius for 3 years. I live in Minnesota and drive it to work every day. The milegage is average 45 in the coldest winter and above 55 in the summer. Oil change is done every 5000 miles and it has been very reliable. It's quiet and comfy. I am proud of owning a Prius.

Performance is awesome. I"ve been getting 48 mpg right from the start. Has good pickup and handling.
The user interface and features of the electronics console and GPS are very poor. Not being able to change GPS while driving is very annoying. The "Info" screens are confusing and not very informative. The phone bluetooth interface is also poor, it doesn't allow using my phones excellent voice recognition nor contacts. It's also surprising the maintenance screen doesn't automatically fill in dates and mileage. And finally, what is the point of the calendar - its a total waste....read morehide

I wish I had looked at this car earlier. This car is way ahead of most competitors. With the key in your pocket, the door unlocks when you approach. When you get in you find a car well thought out and roomy (yes roomy). I tried the back seat and found it is one of the easiest to enter/exit and again spacious) You start the car with the push of a button (the key stays in your pocket). When the car is started there is dead silence. The car starts in electric mode. As you pull away you will hear the gasoline motor start running. Switching between gas and electric is seamless and automatic. The only time you hear the gasoline engine is on hard acceleration. anytime you let up the accelerator or stop the gas motor stops. The electric motor captures the energy created when you step on the brake and charges a battery. That energy is reused when you take off (electric mode). The transmission dosen't shift. It has a variable speed transmission that again is seemless. At 75 to 80 mph the mileage dropped to 42 mpg. The mileage around town has been 44mpg. I have 3000 miles on it so far. The touring edition has a built in GPS (Global Positioning Service) that will guide you on a trip with a map and voice commands. The car also comes with a backup camera that turns on anytime you put the car in reverse. This a car you simply have to take for a test drive to see what I am talking about....read morehide

I purchased the Prius as the standard equipment - NO optional added.
Just a vehicle for the transportation. NEVER got above 45 MPG as specified - even driven like over 55000/year - now it's 115000 miles in the car. Car running great, no minor or major problems.
Generally, the car does not look attractive at all - And, I love it....read morehide
