This is one of the quietest cars we've owned! I'm surprised that "noisy" is a complaint on several reviews. The cargo space is well-designed and holds tons of stuff. There are several compartments for sunglasses and other small items. The Limited trim pkg has electronic air control and looks much nicer than the knobs on the standard model--worth the extra money in my opinion. I love the height of this vehicle--not too high or too low, and that makes for easy in and out. We've already taken a roadtrip and the height of the vehicle is also beneficial for strapping a luggage container on top. We're very happy with our purchase!...read morehide

Beats my Sienna in Horses and MPG and offers equal MPG & way more pep than the Honda CRV.

Cons

I'd love to see the Tailgate open the opposite way((toward sidewalk). The sound system isn't great.

I can't believe the speed and response of the Rav4 V6 - it lacks for nothing in the "get up and go department" which sold me by a longshot over the same priced Honda CRV. It's a lot of fun to drive. The Sport model is not quite as soft a ride as the Limited version but makes up for it with its sporty handling and look of the wheel well trim and 18in. allow wheels. I found the test drive of the 4 cylinder Rav convinced me to move up to the V6. The 4 cylinder was certainly noisier and not to be compared in performance....read morehide

Not so happy about my purchase, Very noisy even at very low speed 60 KM/H, strage vibration on free way, Bumpy ride , Seat are very uncomfortable. I think the CRV is much better choice

Seats are terrible, overall poor design .

While the overall quality is fine, the car fails on small but important items. The driving position is cramped for those above 6', the seats induce backache, the overhead map lights blind the driver at night, the rear cargo door is hinged on the wrong side, the cup holders appear as an afterthought, the rear seat does not fold down completely, the front passenger seatback does not fold down at all. The discomfort for the driver is the primary failure of the vehicle. the rest are just a lot of "pile-ons" that can drive a person away. I have purchased a few back supports, and keep driving it. I would not re-purchase unless they modified the interior...read morehide

having been hit broadside at high rate of speed on the turnpike I can honestly say the standard ESC (electronic stability control) is a real life saver. The ESC took over and I was easily able to control the vehicle to a complete stop.
My real life gas mileage falls into the high 23 mpg with a mix of turnpike and city/town driving. This is with the 269 hp V6 and 5 sp. automatic. Same mileage as the Honda CRV but with 100 more horsey power. How is that possible?? Great value for the hard earned dollar.........Bob Griswold CT....read morehide

This is my second RAV 4. I loved the last one and I love this one. Anyone looking for a small SUV should definitely check it out. Lots of storage, great features, fantastic sound system, phenomenal ride, great acceleration, handling is fine, mileage good too.

They should go back to a normal shifter and add an integrated garage door opener....read morehide

I love the navigation system, the dvd player, leather seat, and sunroof/moonroof. It is powerful at off roading.
