had mine 6 years and it breaks more then my previous ford ranger. overall it is ok, parts are expensive

The Tacoma Pre-Runner SR5 feels a little less refined than most full-size trucks, and the 2.7 motor will never be classed as a powerhouse, but overall it's a good, capable truck. After break-in, city fuel mileage has been a little better than rated (21-22 mpg actual) and highway mileage is @ 23 mpg if limited to 75 mph cruise. Best so far was 26 mpg when kept at 60 - 65 mph. I shoot some DuPont Multilube into the rear springs and shackles every couple of weeks to keep things quiet back there....read morehide
