i bought this truck new over a year ago and i have never been happier with any other vehicle.great throttle response,very good handling for a truck of this size.i towed a friends car from upstate n.y. into the middle of n.j. and the engine/trans combo made it seem like i was only towing 100 lbs.,in fact the ride was so good,my friend fell asleep on the way down because he was so comfortable in the spacious interior.the interior is a little small in the back if your about 6ft or taller,but the rest is great.this truck has so much room for storage,everywhere you look there is another spot that you can use for storage.this truck is so great that i have added upwards of $6000 worth of accesories to make my truck unique and to stand out a little bit.i get compliments all the time from import drivers and owners of the other big 3 auto makers.most can't believe that this truck is built in the u.s.,is better quality,has more horse power and can haul/tow more than a ford,dodge,or chevy in the same class.and for the people complaining about low mpg's,you bought a truck not a compact car,how good do you expect it to be? i average about 70mph on the highway to and from work and the do the usual city driving and i average about 15 mpg.my 01 jeep with a 6cyl in it didn't even get that.with the jeep i was filling up twice a week while going to work,with the tundra its once a week and i do 250 mi. a week just to go back and forth to work.bottom line,i will never get rid of my tundra,in fact when this one is paid off i'll probably end buying another to start having fun all over again.
