I love my 2007 Yaris 3 door liftback. I haven't had to do any repairs since I bought it in March 2007. I get an average of 35-36 mpg mixed driving. One time I got it up to 41 mpg! It's an amazing little car for such a cheap price. Acceleration is great, but the more people you have in the car, the slower it goes. There is an amazing amount of space inside, but you might have to fold down the seats to fit all of your groceries inside. I would definitely recommend this car to anyone!...read morehide

I love my Yaris. I bought it new, the showroom/test drive model. It was the only hatchback they had in my city at the time. We live in the desert, so we live a good 15-20 miles from the city itself, so we put plenty of drive time on the car quickly. I have nothing bad to say about it. I took it to Monument Valley where the roads aren't graded well and bounce you around like crazy, it performed incredibly well. I took it to Mesa Verde, suffering summer hale storms worse then I had seen in Germany for 12 years, dust and heat that was incredible in the desert, and non of it phased the car or compromised my comfort or safety. It was very efficient with gas, so much so I usually actually get better mileage than they claim it gives. I enjoy driving it, and it totally does not feel small or seem tiny. The interior is spacious enough that even my family was surprised at how much space it has. I can flip the seats and take my 3 Dalmatians anyplace I want, or haul quite a lot of stuff-- just like a stationwagon with two front seats. It's worth it to buy the safety package with the airbags and keyless entry if you like that. Really, this is a great car and for the price you get everything you really need. My favorite feature is the drivers glovebox, it should come standard with every car!...read morehide

I'm 5'10" and find this car very comfortable. I'm glad I don't have to look through the steering wheel to view the speedometer, easy to get used to. One glance and you get it. With the traditional placement, your eyes may be off the road too long.
I work 5km from my home and in the most extreme cases, I can drive a Full Month before refilling my gas tank....read morehide

Pros: A lot of engineering went into this car. The back seat reclines, moves forward and backward, and folds flat. There are extra compartments underneath the back cargo area. The timing belt is actually a chain, so it last longer. The steering is electronic, so there's less to maintain with hydraulics. There's an engine immobilizer so the car can't be stolen.
At 23XX pounds, it's a hundred pounds lighter than a Miata, lighter than most every other car. At 150 inches long, it's just a couple inches longer than a mini, and shorter than a Miata. Yet, the cargo hold will fit a full size chest. I'm averaging 36 - 38 miles per gallon driving in the city, and I'm not trying to save gas.
Cons: thin paint job, driver's chair has no height adjustment... I'm not sure if it's just me, but other drivers seem to tend to cut me off more when I'm in this car....read morehide

i purchased this brand new with the whole package. i had 2 special order it at my dealership cause they were so popular and everyone was buing them like hotcakes! i had 2 wait 4 weeks for the '09, an i ended up getting a 2010 cause they were distributing them to the dealrship anmore. well, it was soooo worth the wait! I got the next yr model, and this car was exactly how i thought it would be! It's so small and cute on the outside which tricks you, cause inside is so roomy with lots of compartments to store lil' items! i just filled my tank the other day, and this lil' car is by far the most fuel efficient. $20 bucks and i got a full tank! also, it's soo quiet while driving and has lots of get -up-and go speed! this car is awesome. i recommend buying one if you wan to save money and be economical. I'm so glad I purchased this than any car out there! It's so cute! :-D...read morehide

I got my Yaris used when it was a year old in May 2008. I traded my SUV in for something more fuel efficient. Boy did I get that! I can go twice as far on half as much. We have taken family trips fully loaded trunk, kids, small dog, A/C full blast doing 75 and still averaged about 38-40 MPG! In the city I average 34-36 MPG. I can go an average of 375 miles on a tank (11.1 gallons). My all time best tank was from Vegas to Salt Lake City at 420 miles! I love to brag about my Yaris's gas mileage to others. It's a cute little car, not the fastest on the road, but ample power and I have owned about 15 cars in my lifetime-some fast and some not so fast. Overall, Im pretty happy with mine....read morehide

I bought my car about a month ago and love it! No issues at all and if anything, it rides a little too smooth as I got a $250 speeding ticket recently. First one in a decade and I was going 85+ and did not really even notice it. I stand 6'2 and can get in and out with ease. I love everything about the car and am happy with it. My previous new cars were both Fords and I wasn't wuite so happy a few weeks later. This car seems to be very well built and have yet to find even small issues with it....read morehide

This vehicle has excellent gas mileage, ride is good for a light small wheel base car, it reminds me of driving a high performance go-cart. This vehicle is fun and easy to drive. Back seat is very comfortable compared to other vehicles. Great value.

I own a 07 Sedan S 4 door AT. I recently took a 24 day road trip from Norcal to Oregon, Washington, Canada(BC & Alberta), Montana, back thru Washington, Oregon and back to the Bay Area. In total of 3714.4 miles we averaged 38-42 mpg!!! The car performed magnificently. I've roughly put 24K on the car and performed the required maintenance schedule according to the owner's manual. I've had no problem traveling at 80 mph on the freeways and the peppy engine is a plus. I would not hesitate to purchase another one if needed but I plan to have this car for many years like my original new vehicle(86 Toyota 4x4 truck). Toyota makes a very good vehicle....read morehide
