I bought my car about a month ago and love it! No issues at all and if anything, it rides a little too smooth as I got a $250 speeding ticket recently. First one in a decade and I was going 85+ and did not really even notice it. I stand 6'2 and can get in and out with ease. I love everything about the car and am happy with it. I bought a 2009 Yaris and this is, without a doubt, the FINEST car I have ever owned. I love everything about it. Super gas mileage, great look. I get lots of compliments on it too. Its fun to drive and it has a pretty decent sound system.

This is the first new car I've ever purchased. I debated for a long time if I should go with the Yaris over other entry level high miles per gallon cars. This car is amazingly cute (this coming from a straight guy). Granted, it's not the macho vehicle you might have hoped for, but me and my friends broke it in with a road trip here recently. I managed to squeeze almost 300 miles out of it, and it still had a quarter of a tank to go. It was roomy enough that my friends, our stuff, and I were able to travel in comfort. The car heats up / cools off super quick due to it's smaller design. Sometimes the windows can fog up pretty fast on you, but it's easy enough to compensate for. I would highly recommend that if this is something you want, that you go for the little extras: Cruise Control, Power Locks & Windows, and Anti-Lock Brakes. I recommend this for anyone who wants to have a nice looking car that gets amazing gas mileage for a cheap price. Kudos to Toyota, I'm gonna drive this thing forever....read morehide

I researched a lot of cars before settling on the Yaris. My old car, a PT Cruiser had been totalled in an accident and the car I rented was a 3-door 07 Yaris. This Yaris experience beat out the FIT and Civic by Honda, Mini, the Versa and the Sentra in my opinion during test drives.
Its gas mileage is comparable to a Prius. It has reasonable comfort considering the price point. The car has run well since I've had it three weeks and put 1,400 miles on it.
Once you buy it it'll have the Toyota name on it, so it'll go as far as 200,000 miles without much complaint if you keep it up. It looks like maintance will be a piece of cake on it.
It's a great entry level Toyota. Its drive is exactly what you expect for the class. After having a PT Cruiser the sound levels aren't any worse than any other entry level car that gets great economy. It handles many every day driving conditions well. It's peppy little engine accomplishes a lot with very little. My dad who's driven Jaguars and Corvettes enjoyed driving my little car.
Curb appeal is sweet. My kids have already named it Dorie from a certian movie....read morehide
