Owned a 2006 Passat 4motion prior and this does perform better with handling due to a lower stance and wider track......less body roll. Priced an 535XI with all that this has and was 60K. Paid 20+K less. BMW is a good vehicle but dated. This care feels more evolved compared to the BMW. This car should really be compared to a 5 series instead of the 3 series that it often is in various reviews. If you want the prestige go the Merc 350 route. However this vehicle carries it's own bit of prestige in it's own uniques way. Best blend of luxury and performance I have driven. This car blows the TL away in terms of looks and comfort.
