I traded a 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee with 48K miles in for my V6 Touareg. It's a nice car but the quality is questionable. The first time I had to lower the rear seats I thought, What? It's just poorly engineered and cumbersome to operate. The head rests have to be removed and restowed. It was a mess. Standard options are not up to Jeep GC standards and, in retrospect, I should have bought another Jeep. Also, I did not get the roof rack bars with the car - thought they'd forgotten to install them. Nope... That's a $800 option. Huh? Gas mileage is poor for the performance. I get about 18 MPG on the road - and that's with premium fuel. If I had to do it over I'd by the GMC Acadia or the Jeep GC diesel. Both are hands down better automobiles.
