I bought my HHR brand new...it is the 2010 model. I am falling more in love with my car everyday. I really like the way it handles on the road and how smooth the ride is. And the fact that i get good gas mileage is a definite plus, my only complaint is what I call a stalled take off. It will go but you have to really gun it to get it to move. But once you hit the highway I can go 80 and I feel like I'm going much slower. And the classic style gives the car a bit of character. Definitely a keeper....read morehide

This car is fairly a good car. But, I have had problems with the windshield leaking. And the maker has given quite a problem with replacing it do to this problem. The HHR is a good car but, I am disappoint in the overall construction on this vehicle. The cost of this vehicle is not worth the problems and headaches. For the money you spend this type of vehicle the manufactor should make sure it is in good condition. I only had 13,680 miles on it when I purchased it (2009) May of this year. Just imagine what else will happen. Also, the service department is a poor department. They need to improve this department....read morehide

We love this car!! It is comfortable, easy to drive, great on gas, and looks cool! My 230 lb. 16 yr. old linebacker son was not very comfortable in my small pickup back seat--in the HHR, he has plenty of room to get comfortable! We have traveled much with this car, and we love it more after each trip. It can carry a ton of stuff, also. The seats fold flat and it's like have a covered pickup bed to pack stuff into. Bought my 2007 Chevy in 2008 and have had no problems of any note since. Gets about 22 mpg in town, about 26 mpg combo of town and highway and about 33 mpg on highway.

Love our HHR, I love the retro look and also gets great mileage. Purchased used in May 2009 it is a 2008. Have not had a single problem with it yet. Also handles really well. The factory sound system sounds really good making this car even more fun to drive.

We bought this great little car in a pinch when we lost our Dodge Caravans transmission. as another review states they have really low resale value, we only paid $10000 for a car less than a year old.

I would never buy a new car anyway because of depreciation....read morehide

I bought my 2007 HHR new. It is the best car I have ever owned. I have owned about 8 cars in my life. I had a Chevy Venture van turn infront of me and I was unable to stop. I hit the van at about 45 mpg, I was not injured and thank God no one in the Chevy Venture was seriously injured. I was able to drive my car home after that. After that accident - I KNEW I had a safe little car.

I have had no mechanical problems with the car and I have 58,000 miles on it. I keep the oil changed and keep my maintenance up to date.

Great little car - wouldn't trade unless someone was trading for a 2009 HHR. I hope and pray Chevy stays around and keeps making the HHR - when I need another car I'll be getting the HHR....read morehide

Bought my 2009 HHR LT1 brand new and really liked it until I found out how much the HHR value was really worth. I thought about trading it in a few months ago due to my growing family and found out that trade in value was worth only 11,300. Mind you i bought the car for 36,000 and now it's worth really nothing. So after driving it off the lot a year ago and having only put 15,000 miles on it, my HHR's value is worth less then half of what I bought it for!! My father purchased one of these as a replacement work truck to get better MPG. This is his car but I find myself driving it whenever he does not need it. The SS version has a turbo-charger so it is QUICK. Before you know it your doing the speed limit. Whoever put a turbocharger in this thing is just sick. People look at it and think it can't be fast, they would be wrong. Overall i notice the MPG is usually 16-17 in the city and upwards of 22-25 on the HWY. I love this little car! I recommend it to everyone. The retro look was the first thing I noticed. I need a car w/ all the backend space that this one has, and the backseats fold down flat, as well as the passenger front seat. I have transported 7 foot bi-fold doors and landscape ties.
