My wife and I looked at many different cars before choosing our 2009 Malibu. The fit and finish, the ride, the look and the feel while driving is amazing. Camry/Lexus friends are considering a new Malibu. They like it more than theirs and it's less expensive. It's even nicer knowing that it is giving Americans jobs. Not just assembly like Honda and Toyota, but also nearly all the parts are American made. That helps everyone from Chevy to the people that work at the convenience store the Chevy employees stop at to get their coffee. And no...I dont work for any GM company. I just really like this car....read morehide

I don't know what to say. I've owned this car for 4 months and I am completely satified. I felt compelled to give an American car company a chance even though I've been a Honda owner in the past. I'm very happy with everything, but the interior makes me feel I'm in a Lexus or Cadillac but the price was the best I could find in anything close....read morehide

I just bought my 2010 Malibu LS last month. It?s my very first Chevy. I've been a Camry man most of my life and also own a 07 Camry Le. I decided to give Chevy a chance this year and I'm glad I did. I love this car. The new body style looks GREAT! the interior cabin is beautifully uniquely designed. It also comes equipped with On Star and XM Radio. This car has even helped me pay more attention to the way I drive; providing me with regular mpg updates. On the down side, the Malibu doesn't have that gas pedal "Get up and go? I?m use to. There's a bit of cabin noise on the Hwy and remember that it?s a mid sized Sedan, so trunk space is limited. The coffee/soda cabin and clove box space's are also very limited. (Won't buying those two super size Cokes) Overall, this car is a great buy and I highly recommend it....read morehide

I purchased my Chevy Malibu about 8 months back. I was looking for a vehicle with good gas mileage since gas prices were out of control! I found what I was looking for! I get comments everywhere I go asking what kind of car that is? I get about 23 city/31 highway. I plan to have this vehicle for a while:)...read morehide

My mistake was buying the advertising lie that Chevrolet had improved their quality and trying a GM vehicle again. I should have known better. The Malibu LTZ looks very nice from the exterior, but unfortunately that's as good as it gets. Mine rattles from the passenger side front end when turning a righthand corner at certain speeds and when going up freeway on-ramps. There is also a strange noise - kind of a grind-squeal - from the engine compartment when the transmission is in reverse or neutral. The interior does not hold up well. It is made of poor grades of plastic and the smaller components are flimsy and I think will tend to break over time. The gas mileage is generally good on the highway (27mpg - 2.4L 4cyl) but less so in normal commute driving (around 16-17mpg for my 35 mile suburban commute). I can not recommend the Malibu LTZ - unless you'd like to buy mine from me (please).
If you absolutely want a Malibu for the styling then I suggest you lease it, because this car is not built to last and the noises and annoyances will drive you nuts with time....read morehide

I just brought a brand new 2010 Chevy Malibu last month. I absolutely love my car. Everywhere I go, people are asking me "What kind of car is that?". Its has a black granite exterior, and cocoa-cashmere interior. HOT!! Just put tints on the windows, and people call me midnight. I was gone get a BMW, but changed my mind and so glad I did. Chevy definitely did it big this time....read morehide

I have the 2010 Malibu LTZ and I couldn't love this car more!!!!! I am so impressed with everything about it. I have truly become a loyal Chevy customer for life. From the experience at the dealer to driving my baby every day. I am not even a car person and I am a woman but every time that I get out of this car or am walking to it I just stare and think about what a beautiful car this is and what a great choice I made. Honestly my brother-in-law works for Ford and can get me the A plan and I did go and look at the Fusion and Taurus. They just didn't do it for me. I hadn't even seen the Malibu yet and my husband (since I am so picky) made me go and drive through the Chevy dealership lot. That's the best thing he has done since choosing me as his wife. ;o) Anyway, I am truly and perfectly happy with this car and I can't find any problems with it as of yet. I have had it since September 13th. I continue to be 1000% satisfied. If you are on the fence about this car then don't be. You won't be sorry. The trunk is huge, the back seat is large with plenty of leg room, and it looks elegant and professional. But truly don't forget the savings in gas....read morehide

Wife had to have a new car, traded in our SUV and purchased Malibu. I'm 6' 1" and it was a tight fit, no leg room. My wife complained about her seat being uncomfortable, but i didn't have any problems. Great gas mileage, but highway noise is very loud. Sounds like your sitting right on top of the tire, very bothersome.
I hope my wife gets an itch for a new cars soon. No more trips....read morehide

We traded our Grand Caravan for an 09 Malibu this month. I was a little hessitent about going from a mini van to a sedan, but after a road trip with my two young girls I have realized that there is plenty of room in this car to suit a family of four! I am a little unsatisfied with the amount of noise that is produced when driving on the highway, but with the radio on it is comfortable enough. I would buy this car again....read morehide
