I decided to test drive a Ford after purchasing imports the last few times. I am proud to say I AM BLOWN AWAY!!!
The Escape is quiet, fuel efficient, has a powerful I4 engine, lots of equipment standard, best in class safety, solid build quality, and an interior that accommodates my 6'4" tall 350 lobs frame. I went from a 99 Dodge Durango, to an 05 F150 to my 09 Escape. This car has been my favorite easily. I love the sync system and the "mood lighting." It is small enough to have fun in but big enough for all of my junk! Its great!

We live in snow country, skiers. It is superb for snow/ice with the intelligent 4 WD; Safety features are unequaled, the ESC/traction control features perform as advertised. We got the leather interior; high quality, very attractive and well made. The Synch system is a pleasure to use; with the voice commands for phone/entertainment system...it works flawlessly. Sunroof dual personality: tilt or full open is nice. I'm 6'2", 210, and the headroom, and seat comfort are wonderful. The bucket seats fit my 'bucket' just right, great back support. First trip, just over 1000 miles, 2 lane or interstate, through and around two cities, we got 26.3 mpg, with interstate driving at 75-80 mph for almost 400 of those miles. At this point, extremely pleased with this great driving and riding little SUV. We also looked at Subaru, Chevvy, Toyota, Honda (not long) VW, Jeep, and Mazda before buying....read morehide

Sold my 12 year old F-150 V6 Manual to upgrade to Escape. More than enough headroom (no sunroof) for me at 6' 5" and power seat gives good comfort adjustment. Included satellite radio free 6-month subscription may not be worthwhile - if you don't subscribe you still have the sat antenna installed on your roof. The 2.5L four has ample power when you need it and sips gas during daily driving. This is a big move up from the basic Ford truck. I like it a lot....read morehide

First American vehicle - previously owned Toyota, Honda, Nissan Acura and Infiniti. Compares very favorably to Japanese competitors. Limited FWD, 2.5liter 4cyl, 6spd w/OD, DVD nav (voice/touch), Sirius, 320watt - 9 speakers, SYNC, leather, moonroof, heated seats & mirrors, auto day/night mirror, roof rack. Not all of these options are available on competitors vehicles. Standard features are very extensive by comparison. Ford has continually upgraded and improved this solid, safe and reliable vehicle. It is a lot of fun to drive, very agile, improved acceleration, mileage and braking. Now I understand why they are so popular....read morehide

Me and my wife just purchased our 2010 Ford Escape and so far we love it! Im 6'2" and have no problem in the driver seat, or sitting it the back. The fold down seats are easy to use. The capless gas filler is a great idea and works great! Ride quality is awesome with very little road noise. Our car now has 109 miles on it and we cant wait to put more on it!...read morehide

Ford is definitely doing better, but after driving this vehicle, several imports and the Chevrolet. The Chevrolet is definitely the better buy.
