5 spd. Bought for the price and gas mileage as my wife has a commute, and it so happened it was my turn to pick the new car. She averages 33-34 mpg.I hypermiled it on a highway trip and got 40 mpg. I don't think it has ever gotten below 33 mpg on a tank. We like the look, the performance is great, have had no problems. We bought the 2 door , and our 6'2" son rides in back easily, though getting in the back is fun. This is to be expected when you buy a small 2 door..we could have bought a 4dr but it was time to get a car we wanted. I should also note we live on a mile long unimproved acces road, and it takes the bumps just fine. Ford put together a fine package here, and I recomend everyone in the market for a small fuel miser give this car a drive....read morehide
