I have a 2006 Fusion which is in the shop, right now for some kind of valve problem that is costing me 550$ to fix. I'm rather disappointed with my fusion, the 2.3Ltr 160 is loud and weak, the car is rather uncomfortable to get in and out of ('m about 6'3" 230 and the car feels a little tight, However, while my car has been in the shop, they gave me a 2010 loaner and it is much nicer, the cabin is more comfortable, feels bigger, rides smoother, is more quiet, has a much quieter smoother engine.. With my Fusion which I bought used and have had for 2+ years, I was just about ready to write it off, but with the 2010, I'm a fusion fan once again. The new fusion is ten fold better than the version of 4 years ago, and the next time I'm in the market for a car (although it may be a while) a Ford Fusion will be something that I look into...read morehide

So far I have found nothing wrong with this car after owning it for three months. I use it to commute some days to work but most of the time my wife and new son will be using it. Easy to use car seat latching system is coming in quite handy. Glad to know my son is safe in this car.

I had a 2006 Fusion and was rear ended by someone doing 65mph while I was standing still in bumper to bumper traffic. The car was totalled, but the most severe damage was to the trunk. The rest of the car held up very well.

We bought this car last week. It only took a 10 minute test drive to convince us it was the one! The Fusion has a sporty look but provides plenty of space inside for 5 adults to sit. With a car seat in the middle of the backseat there is room for people to sit on either side. The ride is excellent, so smooth you look down and realize you are going way faster than you thought! Fuel mileage has been excellent so far. Hwy it's getting about 32-34mpg....read morehide

I rented a Fusion last week and I have to admit I liked it except for 2 qualities. 1. I couldn't get in with out hitting my head. I'm 6'2''. 2. mpg, the car claimed that I was getting 32 mpg in town and up to 40 mpg on the road. I don't think so.

This has been a great car for 3,000 miles, but had to get drivetrain computer reprogrammed to adjust the shift points, as the RPMs were spiking between shifts and 1-2 shift was harsh. Now that it's been updated, I don't have any serious complaints, I think this will be a very reliable vehicle. Fusion was about $4-5k more expensive than other midsize vehicles I looked at, but I don't regret buying this one. Also, would recommend looking at the new 2010 Taurus if you're interested in this vehicle....read morehide

This car is amazing! I love the sync. I basically tell the car what to do and it does it. The look is great and I get a lot of compliments on it. The ride is very smooth especially driving on Michigan roads. The handling is great especially around the pot holes. This car picks up and goes. The leather seats are comfortable front and back. I love it! I read a few reviews that are confusing. The one about the transmission issues that person must not know how to drive a car or take care of it. I have ?raced? my car and haven?t had a problem yet. This transmission is outstanding. I come from a family that builds and works on cars so, I know a lot about cars and this transmission is outstanding. Another review said they struck their head on roof and struggle to exit and there only 5?? 5?! I?m 5? 8?? and have tons of head room and have struck my head yet and never had a struggle to exit. I drove an SUV for 8 year and switching to a car from an SUV is different getting in and out. Another one was the buttons on bottom of the climate panel are a little hard to see. Is this person blind? Seriously! I am very happy with my purchase. This car is worth the money and is made to last....read morehide

this is an update to my first reaction to our Fusion. we have the 2009 SEL V6 with AWD and both of us (wife and I) are extra happy with it. we have driven through 1 very snowy winter so far and this car, with winter tires Blizzaks on all wheels, 'climbs ice cubes'. our mileage varies between 19 in town and 29 on the highway-interestate. i find it hard to believe steady high speed driving with the transmission and AWD can really get that mileage, but ours has done so many times. we have taken numerous long trips with this car and the comfort is very high. the seats are much better than my Mercury Mariner and are the regular cloth velour material. on the road, this car is extremely stable which i attribute to the Mazda6 chassis design which Ford uses, and the AWD. again, very happy with this car, no problems, and the cherry red color is my wifes fav. if Ford asked me if i will buy another, i'd say yes and get their new and very interesting Fusion Hybrid which seems a mileage monster.i'd like to test drive one when the local dealer has it in stock....read morehide

What a great car from Ford. Maybe I'm a bit biased being a Ford owner for many years, but this is one fine car. My wife has a 2007 Camry and always wants to drive the Fusion. There is no comparison between the 2 cars, Ford wins hands down. Her car sounds like she has a typewriter under the hood, you can barely hear the engine on the Fusion. She has been won over by Ford ... and I believe most people that drive this car will be, too.
This is the first 4cyl I've purchased in years, but am not disappointed. Test drove both the 6cyl SEL and 6cyl Sport and while they were fast cars, decided to go for fuel economy this time around. 35 MPG on a recent 275 mile trip mostly @ 75mph. Averages around 26 in the city.
Sync technology is great, Sony sound is fantastic. Tell Sync to change a radio station, it will. Tell it to make a phone call, it will. Tell it your destination and it'll take you there. With the Navigation system you can even watch a DVD Movie while car is parked and/or listen to the sound when driving. (There is a hack to get around that, but not ready to tinker with it just yet). USB port for your I-pod/MP3, even an internal hard drive if you want to download songs to the "Jukebox".
Comfortable seating, dual climate, heated seats, sun roof, large truck, plenty of back seat room, the pluses goes on and on with a list price right around $28,000. I discover a new feature every day (really need to read the manual). Did you know you can just click the key to the start position and release it and the car will start. No need to hold it. Discovered that by accident when my fingers slipped from the key.
Great engine and trans. The 2.5L is a big improvement over the older 2.3L in the pre-2010 Fusions. No 4cyl vibration that is so common with the smaller engines. Smooth shifts, plenty of power in mid-range to merge or pass. Not going to squeal the tires off the line, but not going to be left in the dust either. This car is really fun to drive. Have the SEL package with the large tires/wheels and it handles extremely well. Steering tight and responsive.
If you're looking for a great car, you have to consider the 2010 Fusion. Like I said I've owned Fords for many years and have been extremely pleased (ran them all over 200,000 miles with minimal, if any repairs), but this car is over the top. Keep up the great work Ford. Thanks for not grabbing any of our money to bail yourself out. Keep building cars like this and your future will be insured....read morehide
