A great vehicle, As a former Subaru Outback owner the Hyundai Touring has more head and foot room for the driver. More leg room for back seat passengers, better gas mileage and warranty.

I love this car! I switched from a Kia Sephia, which I had for 10 years, but need something automatic. I love driving this car! It is roomy, comfortable and there is plenty of space in the back for the kids and all their stuff. The hatch back is great. All the features, power windows, cd/fm radio, keyless entry, etc, all wonderful. For the price you get your moneys worth and much, much, more! I can't say enough positive things about the 2010 Elentra Touring car. It looks classy, yet sporty and everyone who sees it, loves it!...read morehide

This car has alot of extras and is very roomy. I also have a 2006 Tucson and there is actually more room in this, for everything, than in the Tucson. The steering is a bit tight but once you get use to it it's fine. Very comfortable car to rid in with lots of extras. Gas mileage is great. Getting a combine mileage of 27.5...read morehide

Always wanted a station wagon for my needs, long weekend get-aways with lots of hiking/camping gear and a full car of friends. I got sick of our Mazda 3 (sedan) noisy hwy. ride and after a few trips in rental Elantra sedans, which I found to be quiet and well-build all around cars, decided to check out ET and decided that this was the car I wanted. I looked at other wagons/hatches from WV and Mazda 3 but the price was at least a few grands higher + I didn't want Mazda again. I was really looking for '09 touring with "16 wheels, as those would be less punishing on long road trips as compared to more sportier 17" onces, but had no luck finding one. Didn't want metal wheels with wheel covers neither (not that anything wrong with them, just my preference for alloy wheels) that come with '10 GLS, so eventually settled on the SE and "17 wheels. Color choices are very limited too, had no luck finding anything than red or silver (I hate silver), so got the red one instead.
On our first trip, NYC-Rochester (~720m) the very next day after the purchase, I got 33.3MPG with c/control on ~62 avg speed. Excellent. MPG drops to ~28 in the city. The ride was comfy, though not as quite as in Elantra sedan, still a lot less noisy than in our Mazda. I would imaging that "15 or "16 wheels would add to slightly less bumpy ride and perhaps a bit more quieter too. This is not to say that I am not happy with SE, it is very agile, handling is sharp - not far off from Mazda's, and it even picks off faster than my Mazda used too. I am still getting used to all the space around me as apposed to Mazda's rather tight sitting. Takes time to figure out the elbow/ foot placement and such. Three adults had no problem fitting into the rear seat with plenty of leg room to spare.
To sum up, it is a great car with firm yet not punishing and quieter ride than my Mazda 3 was with respectable MPG and a lot of room. Hyundai really came a long way in quality and looks department and is less pricey than its competitors' offerings are....read morehide

After lots of research, we decided on the new Elantra Touring for our first "family" car. The safety and convenience features are fabulous. We love the stereo, especially the iPod connectivity. We're still undecided about XM radio; it's great, but I'm not sure if I want to pay for it. The displays are easy to read and the controls are intuitive. I would rather have had power front seats than heated front seats, but I may feel differently if we have a cold winter. If people wanted to pay for them, leather seats and a navigation system might have been nice options. I liked the feel of driving with the 17" wheels better than the 16", so that and the sunroof are why we chose the SE. I'd hate to ask for more features because the price really can't be beat by anything similarly equipped in its class, and Hyundai has the best warranty. I never thought I'd want a red car, but I liked the Chili Pepper Red with Beige interior so much more than the black interior or the silver or blue that only come with black interior. The black and gray colors were nowhere to be found in my area. I'm a new mom, and installing the infant carseat couldn't have been easier. The back seat and storage area are very roomy and easy to load. Some reviewers have complained about lack of power, but for a commuter who takes some pretty windy roads with an infant in the back seat, it has all the power I need as it handles perfectly and feels very safe. Besides, I wouldn't want them to have to increase the price and reduce the fuel economy for a more powerful engine. The only thing I'm having trouble getting used to is the firmness of the front seats. For looks, cargo, and value -- if you're looking at other small wagons and crossovers, don't overlook the Elantra Touring! I am so glad I found this car....read morehide
