I purchased my 4th jeep this summer. Got an excellent deal from the dealership. There is plenty of room for my dogs and other cargo. We live in the country, and the jeep handles well in deep snow or heavy rain. I am very happy with it. My big gripe, however, is the fuel economy.
On long trips, I average 20-22 miles per gallon. That's better than my 2002 jeep, yet poor compared to new cars today. However, I can overlook the poor fuel economy for the way the jeep looks and handles. I've had very few problems with any jeep that I've owned. I purchased a 2009 Grand Cherkee Lorado 4 X 4, Rocky Mountain Edition about four months ago. So far I'm very pleased with everything except the gas milage. It drives very smoothly and is quiet. The Boston Sound System with satelite radio is great. I've never owned a vehicle with four wheel drive so I can't comment yet about its advantages in snow or on icy roads. The cargo area is not a spacious as the Chrysler Town and Country mini-van that I owned previously so I'm wondering if the GC will be adequate for my winter trips to Florida. It is a good looking car if you can see further than the color. It is comfortable, and seats many people. However, it has terrible gas millage and pollutes the air more than any other new car on the market today. A good thing is that it is sturdy and would be great for camping- if there is a nearby gas station!...read morehide

At 61 years old, I have driven many, as in many cars, the Grand Cherokee is one of the better SUVs on the road for the price and dependabilty. I like my truck!

After one years as I have this car, Grand Cherokee Limited 4x4 I can say it's a very good car, with good performance (Mercedes-Benz engine 3.0), spacious, good reliebilitiy, very good standard otions at a decent price (about 48.000 euro). Comparativ with many other cars at the same performance I think it's a good option. The only thing not good is gas millage (about 15 mpg in the city)....read morehide
