I love this car!! Upgrade from the 2006 Mazda 3 I am currently driving!

Test drove one of these recently and was very impressed. I own the 2006 version of this car, and did nto think it was possible to improve upon it at the current price point...Boy, was I wrong!! The bigger engine and better torque make it feel like I am driving a German roadster, not a Mazda, but the little interior touches are ALL Mazda! Simply fabulous! It also seems they have addressed one of the two major concerns from my model year, which was the lack of power in the air conditioning system. No issues with the 2010. It cost me almost $600 to fix it on my 06 Mazda 3 (had to put in a cold air induction system!! But, I get ice cold air, 10 extra horse, and 1.5 mpg, so I can't complain!).

For the person in the other reviews in this area who hates the "red dash light", if you will hit the dash lite button one time, it should dim the red lite down to a cool blue for night driving.

Since I just took it for a test drive, I cannot not comment on the mpg numbers, but my 06 Mazda3 has been averaging 28mpg for the life of the vehicle; I have 60000 miles on mine.

This is my second Mazda. I had a 626 in the 80's and 90's. It was my favorite car ever. The new Mazda3 has it all - exterior and interior looks and great fuel economy. I've only filled up once and it got 31 MPG. I do both city and highway driving. I like the responsive feel and the Bose sound system is awesome. It is just amazing how far cars have come in the last 10 years.

The best car I have ever had. Incredible good looking hatchback. Set up blue tooth in one minute. Amazing Bose system. Nice standard fabric seats. Smooth ride, strong engine. I love the inside lighting when driving at night. It was hard to find one with manual transmssion and the trim I wanted. Price is a bargain considering all the goodies. Leased for less than $240 a month! I think I will buy this one at the end of the lease....read morehide

I bought my 2010 off the truck as they were being delivered on 4 March. I traded in my old Mazda 3 for it. This vehicle is a serious upgrade over my old one. Bigger motor, The interior and dashboard is a definite upgrade over my old one (and that's saying a lot). I traded a leather interior in for cloth, but the new seats are much better, with more side support. You can turn off the stability control and scorch your tires at a stoplight (with an automatic)!!! The car feels more solid, has a "German" feel to it. They built more quality into it and kept the zoom-zoom. I like that....read morehide

Hatch back is a must, lots of cargo space for a small car.Fast and fun to drive.

Cons

The seats are not the most confortable and radio must be on when radio, due to wind noise.

Great car, bought it new, it has 12k now. Love every minute of riding time on this car. Fun to drive, remind me of my BMW 320 that I used to have. Average 24 mpg in the city and I don't try to save gas when I drive! :)
Realiable car, Love the hatch back. I have carried so many things in it that I could not have taken it if I have bought the Honda Civic.
I wish they have a factory roof rack from factory.
I have being pulling my Jet ski (installed a U-Hall hitch) and it has been great....read morehide
