This has to be the best mercedez out right now. It is not a huge car but it is not very small. I drove it on the beach and it run perfectly as if we were on a nice smooth road. It is much better than my old bmw by gas mileage, how it runs, reliability, and more. I was really suprised at how good of a car it is because it is a mercedez but it is very good....read morehide

we just purchased this car, after coming out of a Ford Edge (another great choice). the style caught our attention as well as our past experience with MB {I drive an E350}.
as with the euro cars, the nav system is not great, not very user friendly.
the driver comfort is very good, sound system is good. very easy (and fun) to drive; great pick up and turning radius.
Although the 20' sport wheels look great we went with the 19' wheels everything else loaded- 20' wheels gives it a little louder ride and not as smooth b/c of the low profile tires.
drove BMW X3 and thought MB was a better drive and much better looking.

I have now owned this small SUV for just about a month now and already have a list of things I like and don't like.

I like: The styling on the outside. The front end is fantastic. Very good fog lamps. Nice side profile. The ride is much better than the ML350 but does not hold as much either. The 3.5 liter motor is strong and smooth up to the red line. The dash layout is very good and user friendly.

I don't like: I have has already two problems with electrical items- the power sun roof motor burned out and was replaced in two hours and the climate controls which shorted out. That required over a week for a part from Poland or some eastern European country. I was not happy that on a three week old car, I would already be out of a car! I also had them check the transmission because it felt like it was slipping which indeed they said was due to a faulty solenoid. Again, was out of my car for one day luckily, they keep that part in stock as many have transmission problems. I should have read the consumer reviews as they said to avoid Mercedes. Dash styling is useful but clearly a 1980's redo. Very cheap materials for a Mercedes. Very poor assembly quality. The dash vibrates over rough roads. The door panels squeak. The doors slam shut with not a solid thud as they should. There is a lot of wind noise above 75 MPH. 4matic is great in the snow with snow tires but I notice it seems to bind up in tight turns when the road is dry. Brakes are a bit spongy.

In all, this is a smaller better version of the ML class but still just as thirsty and perhaps even less reliable. I like the smaller size and that was the only reason I took this over the ML as the price is nearly the same.

I drove the new GLK last week here in the most hilly area in the country south Birmingham/Hoover, Alabama area and I was for the most part impressed, except for the leg room in the back seat... Mercedes needs to put a new bio-diesel in this rig and just watch the sales... Maybe they will start making this in our new Mercedes plant in Vance, Al. where two of their best sellers are being hatched......read morehide

traded a jeep srt8 for this thing, been in the shop twice for electonics issue, seems rather cheaply built, back seat ...not much room for adults, good for two people and cargo. Not impressed by MPG or even performance, lack luster at best, should have looked at another Jeep or Honda Pilot. Should have listened to consumer repaort when they rank MB at the bottom of the class for reliability.......read morehide

Love Mercedes! Best built car's EVER! Their quality outbids any car made any where. Best vehicle to drive or ride in. Performance is better than anything I've ever driven. Comfort better than anything I've sat in.

Great new car from MB. Best comparable to the BMW x3... this drives better and has a more contemporary look. Car is easy to drive and maneuvers better than other cars in it's class (is way better than a Jeep or something comparable) & can be taken off road if necessary
