Bought new June '09.We have 10,000 miles--no problems--averaging between 32 & 35 mpg in all kinds of driving.All the power needed--very peppy.GM. made a big mistake in discontinuing the best car they have produced in my opinion

I was looking to replace my Acura TL Type S w/an awd vehicle. I moved out into the country and wanted something that could handle the heavy snow, was fuel efficient and easy on the eyes. I owned a 2005 Vibe, and loved the new look for the 2009 model. I got such a great deal in March 2009, HAD to buy it. But I had become used to the "finer" features of my Acura: heated leather seats, spoiler, great sound system, tinted windows, nice wheels...well, I had the heated leather seats installed aftermarket (the seats are MORE comfortable then my ACURA!!!), had the spoiler put on, the windows tinted, automatic start installed, nice wheels....I pimped my ride baby! ;-) I love my 2009, white, awd Vibe. WHY would they get rid of the best looking line of cars GM has to offer? WHY? Anyhow, if you can get your hands on a VIbe, buy it! You will love it. It's rated high with reviewers and looks so much better then the Matrix. People come up to me and ask me if I love the car quite often. I always respond enthusiastically: YES! I have had this car since 2005. I absolutely LOVE it. I have nothing bad to say about this car. It gets up and goes for the size engine and scoots down the road like the big cars. It is great for finding smaller parking spaces. It has held its value as well. Shame on you GM for allowing yourselves to get in such a mess that one of the better snazzier cars is being phased out. this car has been nothing but trouble after 6 months of ownership. The most major things were the intermediate shafts replaced twice. The radio had to be replaced[broken voice knob].The electric box on steering column once. The lemon law was a blessing settled with Gm and now am a proud owner of a Honda Civic Coupe a real car. My Vibe is now almost five years old, has nearly 80,000 miles and has never given us the slightest problem. I used to drive a Mercedes wagon, I love my little Vibe a lot more. We bought the standard transmission to tow behind our RV. The upside is, it's really fun to drive and the milage is truly remarkable. Why GM never promoted this car more, I will never understand. I Love this car!!! Purchased it in September 2008 and as of June 2009 have 30K miles on it!!! Not a hickup for this car. Average 38-40mpg, best ever 44mpg!! Who needs a hybrid. I commute 164.2 miles roundtrip for work everyday and the car is quite comfortable.

My biggest complaint are the adjustible cup holders in the center console (never seems to fit the bottle/cup right) and it is too hard to roll down all 4 windows on a nice day while driving because of the width of the car....read morehide

I never thought I'd find a samll vehicle I could live with. I really love this vehicle after 10k miles on it. I think the Vibe looks great and the cargo area works well for us when we fold down the seats. It's great for commuting and we are very happy with the 32 MPG we are getting. My younger kids aso love this vehicle when you go camping. Some how they get all their stuff in it for a weekend trip. I think they will end up taking it away from us soon. Over all both the parents and the kids love this little wagon vehicle. I would buy another one.

We test drove the Toyota Matrix and and the Kia Soul. The matrix was very loud with a plastic interior that rattled even on smooth roads, and the Kia Soul engine had no power at all. We did not feel safe in the Soul for some reason. The Soul was not something I would let my kids drive....read morehide

My car is just prefect in all kinds of uses. I just love my car and am very upset that I will never see them again. Pontiac was my car. My first car was a 74 Firebird, and then a 78 Firebird , which was a metalic Green. I just loved that car and was very happy, with that too. I went to a Grand Prix for a while, I like that also.
But when I was looking for a car with better gas mileage I tried the Vibe. I just fell in love with it. I call it my scoot around town car, which I do when you have young children with activities going to and from. I love my Vibe...read morehide
