Coming from someone who used to own a minivan, this is a big switch. Actually, I surprised myself the most. This car is fun to drive and it has a lot of space for my wife and my 2 kids. Yes, you can;t compare the space to a minivan but I just saved myself $10,000.00.

As a short large person, I had a hard time finding a vehicle that was easy to get in and out off. The Scion was a very good solution. I would certainly recommend this vehicle to older drivers.

We bought a new 2010 xB and have driven it about 2000 miles. It is very peppy to the point that the cruise control has to be on most of the time on the freeway. We are getting 29.7 mpg (avg.) with tons of city driving included. My wife and I both love driving the car (We call it the "B") but find no arm rest for the passenger a real negative especially on longer adventures. The seats are too firm but may soften up with more usage.

We like the small turning radius as the little xB is so easy to park. The radio is much better than I had expected and love the Mp3 player plug in. It works great and certainly fills in the dead spots out here on the desert where we live. It is quite hot here so I was concerned about the A/C abilty in the xB. That is no problem what so ever. The A/C works every well and maintains the internal temperature at whatever degree of coolness we want.

If I have a serious complaint it is the driving lights. They are good but aimed way to low toward the ground. At highway speed you are well out running the ability to see ahead far enough. The High lights are powerful and extreemly bright but not always possible to use them with on coming traffic. At this point I have not been able to adjust the low beam angle which is the top question in my mind for the dealer.

Over all we both love the car, the craftsmanship, smoothness for a short wheel based unit, peppyness, smooth cruise control, excellent radio and the "Fun Factor" in just going. We are happy....read morehide
