Very happy with this car. This is a great family car with plenty of power on the 6 cyl, love the interior, looks, roominess and AWL safety. I had an older outback and the new 2010 remodel is not quite as nimble as the older smaller generation. I got 26.7 mpg on Hwy from Phx, AZ to L.A. Mine is all white on cream leather limited with out naviagation. Very happy with this car compared to the Toyota Venza this handles better with no blind spots and has bluetooth.
Some improvements needed: side mirrors need retracable, sunroof can be bigger, have to push hard on hatchback door to shut, memeory needed for driver seat. No rear camera for non navigation system....read morehide

I have the 2.5 with the CVT tranny, its a great daily driver and is on pare with other crossovers in its class, but you better time your side street departures with care. My car only has 300 miles on it and i was told that over time the computer will learn how you drive and adjust its state of tune. This seems to be a common answer these days from many car mfg's. Lets just hope they are right, I think its a load of crap and that they need to write better software, but we'll see.Otherwise I enjoy the car very much.I traded in my 2006 jeep liberty v6 4x4 gas hog that was getting 15mpg.It had great off the line power but not much anywhere else. I just hope the outbacks 4wd works as good....read morehide

The value of this car, considering reliability, comfort, and safety is simply off the charts. I have driven mine close to 150,000 miles and it is simply the most reliable car I have ever had.

Just bought it. I couldn't be happier. It is EXACTLY the car I wanted and I didn't even know it. I had been wanting an SUV for a while and was looking to spend mid $20s and so was relegated to CR-V (too feminine), RAV4 (to basic for the price), Escape (yuck), and the new Chevy Equinox (has potential, but couldn't get past it was a GM product). Or so I thought. On a whim, I looked at the Outback and it is amazing. Just the right size, the right price, and great value. Love the new CVT and the quietness of the car. Way more fun than my 2008 accord EX-L!...read morehide

Absolutely love my new 2010 Outback 2.5i Limited! The ride is wonderful, the brakes and steering responsive. The AWD makes the car feel very connected to the road. The fuel economy is fantastic, even better than what the EPA's were! I got the 4 cyl for the better gas mileage and I am not dissappointed. The car has been more than powerful enough... climbing local mountains or passing on the highway with ease. The seats are very comfortable, and the reclining backseats are a hit with our daughter. I love the media hub add-on which allows me to control my ipod through the stereo. The bluetooth has been flawless. This is one of the most thoughtful cars I have ever owned. After doing tons of research and test driving, the Outback won, and I made the right choice. I love my Subaru!...read morehide

Great family car. Great fuel mileage. Handles very well. Wish it had a bit more power but so far have not had any issue with freeway or mountain driving. Would definitely purchase again.

I had two 14 year old Subarus, an Outback and and LX Coupe. Love them. I kept the coupe and got a new Outback. It is a huge improvement over the old one and it was super. However, it is underpowered even with the fancy transmission. Will know better after it snows and I hit the hills.

I was disappointed with the new 2010 Subaru Outback's performance with 0-60mph gets 10.1 secs., from 60-0mph braking stops at 133 feet, handling is like a truck, not a crossover and fuel consumption is in the low EPA estimates.
Will not buy again a Subaru!

The 2010 Outback really is as close to "all-new" as possible and still remain an Ourtback. The CVT is an extraordinary transmission system, and contributes to good fuel economy. Interior comfort is outstanding for an SUV, and handling is nimble for a car the size of a Highlander.
With almost 9'' clearance, it can accommodate limited off-road tasks, and Subaru's AWD system is the best in the industry. Fit-&-finish is good (only one rattle so far), and road noise is not intrusive. The only significant problem is non-folding side mirrors, an omission which cheapens an otherwise fine vehicle....read morehide

So much fun to drive this car more thanTribeca, engine is peppy and road noise is very minimal. Gas mileage stays true , even better when I drive, instead of my husband. Subaru need to improve few more compartments on dashboard and driver's seat.
