It was between the Ford Fusion, Toyota Camry, Toyota Avalon and the Honda Accord. I test drive the Accord and did not like the ride. The Fusion was great but, after owning American, I needed a change.
I really love the Avalon. Its a great car. You can drive it for days and not get fatigued. But, the price is 35K which was more than I wanted to spend. This car is closely equippen to the Avalon and also close in comfort. I compared the Camry V6 because I wanted more power but, the power difference was not that much and the price was 3K for the V6 and Consumer Reports said the reliability of the V6 was not as good as the 4 cylinder.
The car before this was a Chevrolet HHR and I was tired of taking the car in for all the problems and feeling as though I had to accomodate the dealer's schedule regardless of how it inconvenienced me. I wanted a car that I could drive off the lot and would not have to take it back for anytihng....read morehide

Rented one on vacation with less than 6000 miles on it. Speedometer jumps, electric window button fell off, dash lights just shut off whenever. Toyota is great at making ads about quality, now if thay could put that into their cars. I will never be fooled into buying anything by Toyota, Lexus or Scion....read morehide

Bought a Toyota FJ 2 years ago. Love it. Never a problem and the dealership is excellent for service. Reason I looked at another Toyota product. Had a Ford Explorer that I was using as a secondary car and figured I'd offer it up on the "Clunker Deal". $4500 off and then some negotiating got me where I wanted to be on purchase price. Then 0% financing for 5 years. Could not pass up the deal. Very happy with my new Camry. The only thing that may be a negative is I sense some roughness in the transmission downshifting from second to first. Seems to be getting better. I broke this puppy in right and no way did I baby it. Excellent safety reports and the ride is very smooth. I have 1000 miles on it now and I am very comfortable with my new car....read morehide

My car has around 15000 miles now, the engine sometimes produces hissing noise. Recently, I drove a long trip about 1200 miles, and I heard some rattling came from the B-pillar seatbelt and the dashboard.
I start to agree to people who mentioned rattling in the earlier reviews.
Doubt about Toyota quality and reliability....read morehide

I bought the 2010 Camry hybrid for two months; Rattling comes from the seatbelt on both B-pillars, dashboard, and driver side door. I noticed the seatbelt is same as the Corolla, and lots of Corolla users also complain about this. Toyota Corporation Representative relate price to rattling! Cheap materials make tons of annoying noise....read morehide

Have driven for about 500 miles and am very happy with it. I test-drove Honda Accord and it was not as comfortable as the Camry.
