Got this car for over a month. So far, 4 rattles come from the front and rear panels. Water pump has been replaced because of leaking. Car cant start often. Brake recall for owners in upper states but not the other states. Call Toyota Corp., they told me that they can do nothing, and the car should be fine when I drive to the colder states, such as New York. I feel that Toyota doesnt care their customers. So all of the customers without having the brake recalled, like me, are on our own even though they know there is a brake issue on their cars. 4 of the dealerships in my area state that they dont hear any rattles and cant duplicate the issues, except the water pump leaks. Those poor services and no-where-near-helpful Toyota Corp. will make customers crazy. They just dont STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCTS. I dont have the money to get another new car :( If I do, I will immediately just off from any Toyota's cars....read morehide

I have a 2000 Toyota Corolla with 256k on it. I purchased it new and have kept the oil change about every 3000 miles. The only work I have every had on it is tires and new front brakes. It still has the factory battery for 10 years now. I am sure my new Corolla will be just as great. My new Corolla has more power and much better features than my old one. Nobody tell Toyota that they should only make their cars last five years or I will be in trouble. They are great cars and have great reliability....read morehide

I LOVE this car. I am a recent college grad and took advantage of toyota's college grad program. They got me behind the wheel of my first car. I love this car. The ride is great. The fuel economy is great. When I got it, it only had 1 mile on. I have used 82 m in 2 days and still haven't even used a quarter tank of gas yet. I recommend this car for someone who is trying to save on gas, have a nice ride and great sound system. It even has nice pickup for a 4 cylinder. Did I say, I LOVE MY 2010 TOYOTA COROLLA!!...read morehide

This car is one of the best cars I have ever owned. On a recent trip of over 200 miles, I had an overall mpg of 38! Car rides quiet and handles very well. Now I know why Toyota Corollas are the best selling car in the world!

My first new car ever at 40 years old. Cash for clunkers helped us decide to buy new. We looked at alot of cars and by far this one fit my household the best.My wife got the first one(red) and three months later. I decided to buy another one for myself.(Blue) I hope to have these cars for at least ten year. I owned a 1996 Avalon with 206,000 miles before this.

Bought Corolla XLE 3 weeks ago (2000 miles) and am really enjoying the vehicle. It's comfortable, has a great ride and has a fair amount of room. Auto air and 6 CD Changer is a good addition to the vehicle and the simulated woodgrain looks good also. Would recommend this vehicle to anyone looking for an economic and reliable vehicle....read morehide

I have a Toyota corolla 2003 and is very good in gas but I just got a corolla 2010 and is giving me only 17 miles in the city, combine only 22 and in the freeway 35 (using the air conditioning) I do not see where the economy is. Toyota state this car should give you 26 in the city, 29 combined and 34 or 35 in highways. I took the car back to Longo Toyota dealer and they just said that everything is OK. This is a nightmare I spending a lot of gas because I drive most of the time in the city. I do not recommend this car, at least this model....read morehide

After test driving just about everything in the compact to mid size range, we decided on a 2010 XRS Corolla. Of all the smaller cars we found it to be the best fit for us as far as comfort fun & reliability records go. Yes the civic SI is fun, but I would not want to drive it very far due to lack of comfort. The Jetta TDI, yes, loved that one but then I talked to a few ex VW owners and heard a few horror stories. Mazda 3? Yes, another fun driver but we could not drink that car pretty. So we settled on the Corolla after reviewing the maintenance record on my mothers 1989 which after 140,000 km and 30 yrs, has required a brake light switch, and a set of brake pads (Regular maintenance there)...read morehide

I was a little apprehensive, based on some of the reviews out there, to buy this car. I ended up trusting the Toyota nameplate, having been extremely happy with past Toyota vehicles, and I'm glad I did. This is exactly what I expected - another great Toyota.
Firstly, I bought this car to be a fuel-efficient commuter. To that end, I have been extremely pleased. I get about 35 mpg combined driving, but that's only because I have rarely had a day without traffic jams. On the rare occasions where I get some space on the freeway, I easily best 40mpg.
The ride, for me, is better than I'd hoped. It's very smooth (for the price-point) and extremely quiet in the cabin. I have a '99 Avalon, which is still a fantastic car, and the '10 Corolla is approaching that level of smooth ride, though not quite there.
The power of the 4-cylinder is perfectly sufficient for highway or city driving. The only time I have felt like the engine was strained was when I drove over the mountain pass after I picked up my vehicle. Even then, the car certainly had the power to do 70 up the pass, but probably best to keep the RPMs down and do 60. Like i said, there are no power issues on the flat. You can definitely punch the gas to merge into a space and know you'll get there just fine.
The cabin is more spacious than I expected. I am average height for a guy (5'11") and I feel like I have plenty of head room, and plenty of leg room in the passenger seat. The back seats look a little more cramped, but i haven't had anyone sit back there yet. I think that it would probably work fine to have one person with longer legs and one with shorter in a front / back combination, but two taller people in a row means something has to give.
I also really like all the controls; they are very intuitive. The stereo system ( I have the base system with a 1 CD Changer) is very clear but underpowered. It's perfect for NPR, but not so great for Rock. Still, the clarity and crispness of the sound is very nice, and the extremely quiet cabin makes quieter decibel levels sufficient. The AUX jack is conveniently placed by the 12V outlet, so using a charging cradle for your ipod and plugging it into your stereo is very easy. Also, sounds great, and no need to use one of those annoying FM tuners that never work.
One thing I especially like about the cabin is the in-dash "computer". It is just a little screen that mirrors the one for the odometer, but I use it all the time. You can set it to clock (there is another dedicated clock in the dash), current fuel economy, average fuel economy (which can be reset whenever), outside temp, average speed, and total driving time. I love using the fuel economy readers for some reason. I reset it in the morning and try to break my record for round-trip-to-work-fuel-economy. So far my best is 43.2.
The one option I got was cruise control / keyless entry. If the model you want doesn't come stock with these, then splurge for the upgrade. The cruise control is great and the controls are very easy to use. You can bump up / bump down 1MPH at a time, and there is also a resume feature to return to your last preset speed. The keyless entry on the LE model is great. The buttons are built into the key itself, so there is no FOB. Very convenient, and also has a trunk release button that pops the trunk up.
The look of this car is not as sporty as the MAZDA3 or probably the Accord for that matter. Even the S version doesn't look that sporty to me. However, the look has really grown on me. I like the slightly bubbled head and tail lights, and the "fin" for the antenna. The car has a really clean, classic shape and, when viewed at several angles, is almost impossible to differentiate from a Camry.
All told, I really love this car for the money. I paid 18, but got mine in the middle of cash for clunkers when there was no inventory left. I'm sure better deals are out there now. You can't miss with this car....read morehide
