First time ever purchasing a Prius. I bought a 2010 Prius III with solar sunroof navigation system. Love it!!! It's very comfortable over bumpy roads. Great gas mileage. I use to have a saturn sc2; had it for 10 years couldn't part with it, I got tired of the clutch/stick shift. I researched various hybrids & thought I'd give the Prius a try. I would diffenently buy another without hesitation. It's great. Alot of room inside; my passengers say it's comfortable that they can fall asleep. It has alot of pep too; can get up to fast speed without realizing it. The navigation/bluetooth system is easy, buttons on the steering wheel. I am having a great time with my Prius. It's been a month now. I enjoy driving everywhere with it. I recommend anyone considering a Prius to diffenently get the III with the solar sunroof....read morehide

This is our second Prius in 6 years.
Husband loves it, drives it everywhere!
Due to the wheelbase I find it hard to track on the freeway, it slides back and forth (because of truck ruts.).
I like more room to carry stuff and kids, pets.
He loses the keys a lot :)he has the key less ignition.
The Prius does almost pay for it's self.
Less insurance per month, no repairs (for now) and GAS prices !
Sorry, but we laugh instead of cry with each increase $ $
The wheel chair is a hard fit in the back with two car seats, but it is easier to get into and out of for me.
The Prius was a big jump from my 98' Rover...I still like more metal in the frame and body than plastic, for safety reasons.
Thanks
Guess Hubby won, this round.
P.S. Yes I kept the Range Rover, just parked it for now......read morehide

Have driven over 112000 miles and very little to complain about. Best car I have ever owned without a doubt. Will start-up and run regardless of -10 of 110 F degrees. Extremely good handling on ice - fairly good handling in snow. I live in the Appalachian hills and rarely have an issue driving in snow and ice. The only time it has trouble in the snow is if it is deep - but then adding snow chains takes care of that. I wish the car would allow you to turn off the traction control at times but that is not an option. The electric motor is extremely good at keeping the car holding onto slippery surfaces. Feels like a zamboni on an ice rink! **Do change the original tires to a good high traction brand. ie Michelin or equivalent.
Ride is very comfortable and sturdy. The car is midsize and very roomy even with 4 large sized adults. Does not get pushed around by semis and giant SUV's. The electric motor pulls hills with no loss of speed no matter how steep. In the hills I average around 45 mpg - less steep areas about 48 mpg. For the first 100000 miles I have not had to do anything except change wiper blades once, tires once, most light bulbs once and regular oil change every 5000 miles. Battery is no issue at all you don't even have to think about it. Original brake pads still at 70%. The electric (B) motor brake works great on steep downhill roads.
Storage is amazing - the hatch opens up to abundant amount of room. Many extra storage compartments too.
Acceleration is fine - not as quick as a v8 but about the same as most 4 or 6 cyl cars on the road. Cruise control is excellent and easy to use....read morehide

The Prius is not the easiest car to purchase, but it?s well worth the effort to get one.
My 2010 Prius III consistently gets 53-55 mpg, which is better than the EPA estimate.
Instrument panel on center of dashboard is nice because you do not need to look down and through the steering wheel to see any gauges.
The car is very roomy, with more than enough legroom, headroom and width. I find the ride smooth and quiet, as the car weighs in at 3000 pounds, which gives it the feel of a mid-sized vehicle.
Disc breaks stop well, and the car has plenty of acceleration when you need to merge on a freeway, for example.
Bluetooth on steering wheel is convenient; excellent sound system as well.
Based on my experience with the car so far, the Prius is amazing--probably the most advanced production vehicle on the market....read morehide

I just purchased the Prius 2010 model. It is much better than the 09 model my mom has. Its a fun car to drive and it gets great gas mileage both in the city and highway. I owned a Toyota Corrolla and Rav 4 but they can't beat the gas mileage I get now. It's very refreshing as gas prices go up and down within a couple hours that I don't feel like I am being robbed at the pump each time I fill my tank.
It is very nice to only have to stop at the gas pumps once every seven days. Thank you Toyota for caring about your customers and making products that will last long after you finish making car payments on them. I have found Toyota has the best customer care and the most helpful sales people in the industry. They go the "extra mile". The dealership I have dealt with all three times keep getting better and better. I feel comforted knowing Toyota will back up whatever it sells....read morehide

Good fuel Economy. However the cost is too high. Dealers are not giving a bit and they don't care whether you are serious buyer or not. they have fixed price and you cannot expect any "deal" on the car. Buying experience is poor due to high demand and sales people are not ready to look for you even. If you drive a lot (@ 40 miles / day ) its cost is justified else Toyota corolla or yaris is a better option.
Another cons. is poor power. As it is hybrid, you cannot expect to race with any V-6 or V-4 car also.
The only thing good for this car is high MPG.
I purchased this car only because my wife wanted. Cost wise this car is not justified if you are not driving much.......................read morehide

We purchased an 07 Prius last October and simply love it. I am 6' 1" tall at around 200 lbs . I am very comfortable driving or riding.
When we drove from florida to Illinois last October our gasoling bill was at $56.00 for the 1200 mile drive. We can not say enough about Prius, it is GREAT....read morehide

I traded in a 2008 Prius for my 2010. It's a different car. The ride and handling is way better. I love the interior is like being in a jet. Very comfortable. The controls are easy to reach and use. The nav system is easy to operate and works very well. The gas tank no longer has a bladder and is easy to fill. With the new power feature no problem passing and merging. The seats are more comfortable than my 2008. This car is a big improvement over my 2008. It's a fun car to drive and there is more then a enough room inside. As for the outside you be the judge I love the way it looks.
The cost of the car was $2000 less then my 2008 and It has more features! Not to hard to take. Bottom line I really liked the 2008 However I love my 2010!...read morehide

Its great on gas but sluggish and not fun at all. I regret getting it, my 2002 echo drove better and gas mileage was not a lot less and price was half!
