Purchased As New
Having owned and still own a 04 Sequoia Limited, I was hoping too see some upgrades done to the 2010. First, the access into the third row doesn't get any easier. They also made it a lot easier when sitting in the third row to get out. You used to be locked in unless somebody would let you out. Now you just push the pedal on the back of the second row and the seat slides forward. Second, I like that they lit up the buttons and controls. The 04 was dark on the inside and you would have to memorize where the controls were. Third, you push a button and the third row lays flat. The old Sequoia was aggravating to take the seat in and out.
The comfort of the ride is great in the new Toyota. You hardly know you're driving and with radar cruise it makes for easy highway driving. I think the Navigation system is a breeze to use. The low fuel light is out of sight, but just hit the info button after setting the cruise and leave up the miles to empty. You can clearly see when you are getting low. The second row is just as comfortable as the first. Heated, sliding and reclining seats make for a great ride. Not to mention you have a household outlet for plugging in your laptop or game as you ride. The window have privacy shades built into the door so you can put them up and down whenever you want.
After just completing a 13 hour non-stop ride to Florida I really don't have any complaints about the ride or handling. There was no stress while driving and the whole family was comfortable and relaxed.. The trip only felt like I drove a couple of hours. The drivers seat was very cozy and didn't feel tired at all once we arrived.
The only real con I can see is the headroom in the first row. I'm 5'10" and have about 4" of clearance. Somebody a little taller might not feel comfortable having their head so close to the roof of the truck. I had about 8" headroom on the 04 Sequoia.
The improvements they have made are great. I couldn't ask for a better vehicle. The truck looks great and has a ton of room in it. I highly recommend it.
