Common mistake made by people is that they judge ILX base on the specification and its civic descent. Again, wrong! Never make decision based on other people assumption, you got to find out the answer by yourself.
First of all, nothing wrong with civic descent. Many Lexus are sharing components with Camry. Yes, the ILX bases on civic, but it does not feel anything like civic; it's a upscale car indeed. The 2.0 motor does not punch strong but powerful enough for daily commute, and it returns over 30 mpg....read morehide2 out of 2 people found this review helpful.

- Cons
- bouncy suspension, passengar seat needs 4 way adjustability

Was given this car as a loner from the dealer, our RL was in for a new timing belt, nice car, good looking front end, rear end, not so much, handles nicley and road good for a light car, the millage was nuts, went to SF on a day trip and got 42 MPG on the hwy and in SF with all the hills and traffic the car still got an average of 28 MPG, if I was in the market for a new car I would look closely at this one....read morehide

- Pros
- Very solid, feels like I expected an Acura to feel
- Cons
- No pouch behind driver's seat, small compartments,

Like my Acura very much. TSX with tech and premium are now out of my reach. Was considering an Nissan Altima, but they were unable to get the lease price where I wanted it. Ended up cutting my car payment 25% over a loaded 2011 Kia Optima that appeared to be suffering from poor resale value. My Acura will be worth more in 3 years than the Kia was worth the day I sold it, and it was a primo condtion car. No pouch behind driver's seat is the biggest gripe, and it is a small one! chrome around cup holder will no doubt scratch easily (Add a cover)...read morehide

- Pros
- Refined powertrain, smooth automatic, exterior/interior styling
- Cons
- Feel bumps

I now have 4100 miles on my new Acura ILX and I really love my new car. I had a 2006 Honda Civic EX Coupe that I also loved!! The engine is refined and the gears shift well. Great handling and fun to drive. I would like to see more on the road, I feel it is an overlooked car.
I had an Integra, which was a great car as well. My Acura in 1996 was $20,000, so I am not sure why people are complaining that the ILX is too expensive. The sticker price was $30,000, but I paid only about $25,900. It is really a great car and it gets even better the more it breaks in....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

- Pros
- comfortable with decent gas milage
- Cons
- back seating is tight

I traded in my RDX Turbo because I wanted better gas mileage. I not only got better gas mileage (26-27 around town) but the car is easier to drive, quieter and much more comfortable. Good little car. Not too upscale but better than most. I hope the value holds up after two or three years.

- Pros
- Stylish, Fuel efficient
- Cons
- Could have been more powerful, no LED lights on side mirror

Leased ILX 5spd on last day of 2012. I wanted to get something affordable compared to Lexus, MB and Audi. I opted for the technology package and voice commands are great! Synching up bluetooth phone is very easy. The gas mileage (25 city, 38hwy) is very good compared to my previous car. Also Acura's are maintenance free (ofcourse, except oil change). The engine is a bit noisy when you gas up from a low speed and then it gets quite. The suspension are sporty and makes noise if you go on a rough road. Handles the curves very well. On a 35 MPH turn you can go 60 MPH without getting skid. I drove it in snow at higher speed than others and had no issues. I had also compared BMW 3series (4cyl) and for the same number of features, BMW was costing almost 5K more. Interior is very stylish and the seats are good. It does not have memory option for driver setting and also the passenger seat is not power seat. This is not my family vehicle, I use it only for commute. The drive is fun and is not tiring. 0-60 is below 7 secs. The lights are very bright and night driving is bright and clear. Keyless button start gives the comfort of not juggling with keys. This car has all the feature of a luxury car, except a powerfull engine....read morehide

- Pros

- no tech safety features, very underpowered, not a lot of options

i bought this car because i had a 99 tl that lasted 253,000 miles. i wanted another acura and this was what i thought i would need. after doing more research i now realized how ripped off i was. this car really offers next to nothing on safety features (blind spot, collision warning, lane departure) that a lot of cars in this segment do. but the single biggest thing that makes me realize how ripped off i was was the weak 150 hp engine. its scary getting on the highway its that bad....read morehide

- Pros
- Love the manual transmission and gearbox. Ride is great, handsfree has worked perfectly.
- Cons
- None so far

I have just under 3k miles on my new ILX. I wanted a sporty, fuel efficient, manual transmission car with some flash, and I feel like the ILX fits perfectly.
I don't try to get great gas mileage and average 29-30 mpg in my daily, 36 mile, round-trip commute. I feel like this car really moves when I ask it to. I'm not going to outrace an Audi A6 by any means, but I can beat almost any other car off the line, and it's FUN to do so!
If you enjoy driving a stick because you appreciate having greater control over your car, the ILX is worth looking at. I love how it handles, how it corners and even the sound of the engine.
I test drove Altimas, Maximas, Sonatas and other cars, but they all felt like the same car I was replacing (a 6 cylinder Camry). This was the only car that put a smile on my face when it responded to how I was driving it.
I haven't had a single problem so far; the handsfree technology has worked flawlessly and my wife says she can't tell when I'm calling her from the car or from my office.
I never drove the AT models so I can't speak to how they drive, but for anyone that appreciates a well designed manual transmission, I've never driven one nicer than this. You can get more performance out of a 6 cylinder but you would sacrifice the 30+ mpg.
As for the looks, I think it looks great in person. I've had many compliments on the car as well - I added the spoiler and the darkest tinting I could get.
Because the manual transmission is where it shines, it's not for everyone, and I probably wouldn't enjoy the sissy version of this car myself. But for people like me, I think the manual version of the car is tough to beat....read morehide1 out of 1 people found this review helpful.

This car drives on a cloud. It is Luxury, Comfort and Economy all on one package. The Acura Nav and Hands Free Link have now been complemented with an incredible and most enjoyable Sound System. I am very happy with my car. This is a vehicle that Yoishiro Honda could be proud of.
