This is my First luxury SUV. Very happy with the purchase. Very good power. Rides very well in the snow. Gps and bluetooth very handy. Very comfortable ride. My kids love it. Would recomend this vehicle.

After test driving BMW x5, VW Tourag, Lexus Rx 330. But the ACURA MDX stands out in suv. It has great pickup, better handling when taking a turn, excellent brakes, and the most gas mileage which gives 18 mile in city. LOVE THE RIDE. . Love the third raw seat.

After driving my MDX for six months, I still wouldn't trade it for any other vehicle. It drives as smooth as silk, has exceptional handling and comfort, and has exceeded my expectations.

I consistently get 20.6 MPG in mixed driving, which is acceptable to me for a 7-passenger vehicle with this type of control, power and comfort.

I bought this car in the summer and had a blast with it, but it really paid off in winter driving. living near Portland, we encounter a lot of heavy rain and a bit of snow and icy roads. No worries in the MDX. It eats up rain, snow and ice. I feel so secure in this car.

A couple of minor annoyances to me are the fan controls having to be accessed through the navi monitor screen (or through voice command), and the fact that the bluetooth is not fully compatible with my Treo 650. Pretty small issues compared with the overall quality, safety and comfort of the vehicle.

But, speaking of the Navi system -- it's one of those things that you never thought you would need, but now is essential. I use it frequently, and can drive in new areas with confidence (just click the "Home" button!). It's intuitive and very complete, including the Zagat rated restaurant listings.

I spent a long time looking at the BMW, Lexus and Infiniti, but I made the right decision for me. If you are looking at the others, make sure you drive the MDX, too....read morehide

Very comfortable, lots of room. We sold our suburban and I still have plenty of room!

Fuel economy is a joke...We use premium all the time and have yet to get over 16 and 19.

Overall we love the Acura MDX. I totally thought that Navigation was stupid until we bought this one. We use it all the time and the rear camera is priceless if you have kids! We got rid of an 02 suburban and have 3 kids. We're very pleased with the room, power and standard extras of the MDX. The safety ratings were the real selling point. I felt so safe in my suburban, but feel even safer in my MDX. The ride is very comfortable for the mid size sport utility we looked at everything from Highlanders to Lexus, mercedes and BMW. The Acura had everything though. The 3rd seat is easy to fold and the wood grain and general interior just looks very rich. I love to keep it clean just because it looks so great! Don't look at these first if you'd like to spend less money because once your drive one the cheaper styles like the pilot and highlander just don't hold a candle here. Don't buy it for great gas mileage, but overall it's a keeper!...read morehide

Excellent vehicle. My wife is 8months pregnant and we were in an accident on the highway with our MDX. We struck the barrier at high speed and the MDX took the majority of the impact leaving us all, including unborn child, unharmed with only minor brusing. The handling of the vehicle and the VSA worked well in a previous experience where we needed to avoid a box that was dropped in the middle of the road in front of us. If your worried about the safety of the vehicle, don't. We are very happy with the performance of the safety features of the vehicle. Our MDX ended up being considered a total loss and we are looking to go back and buy another....read morehide

I recently bought 05 MDX and love it. It drives like a big car..very good handling and great pick up speed.
I have considered other vehicles such as BMW X5 and Infiniti FX35. However, the MDX wins hands down. Plenty of cargo room and great bose system that would make you rock at any beat.Great family vehicle 7 passengers....that doesnt look like one. Id say its a good vehicle to consider if your looking for an SUV....read morehide

no power rear door. no heated rear seats. no convenient sunglass/eyeglass holder.

Just rolled over 1000 miles on my new 2005 MDX. Overall am very pleased with this SUV. Compared to Lexus 330...not quite as a "floating" ride, but much roomier and the interior setup is superior. Miss the automatic rear door and windows....though considering everything would buy again in a second....read morehide

I love the MDX because it has a nice rugged looking exterior,but at the same time supisticated and very high class look. I looked at the Lexus GX and I did not like the two seats that fold to the side although, the interior was better, the exterior did not apeal to me. It looked boring. I looked at the RX and did not buy it because the inside is to small, and I need room for seven on occasions but from the outside it looks great.

So after test driving all three I fell in love with the MDX. All three had the same comfortable,solid, quiet ride but the MDX got my vote. I chose the MDX because the less expensive deal for the same amenities as Lexus. But Acura needs to improve on the inside by making better fit and finsh on their MDX. As far as built quality,reliabilaty and depreciation I know that my Acura MDX will be my best buy for many years to come....read morehide

Have a 2005 for about 6 months now and must say this is the best SUV I have ever owned. The ride is smooth, the amount of luxury is fantastic, cargo area is huge, and the nav system is the best out there. The third row comes in handy when driving around the nephews and nieces. A lot of people complain about the interior being plain. IMHO it is better this way. Not a lot of clutter around you.
