- $16,380 - $19,944
- AWESOME VEHICLE! ALL KINDS OF TOYS, GODD FUEL ECONOMY!
- NON THUS FAR..
Picked up my new MDX Tech last week and already have 1000 miles on it! The ride is truly amazing as well as the handling with the SAWD!
Had a chance to run it in snow yesterday and it worked flawless!
The amount of gagets in this car is simply amazing! Navi, Bluetooth, able to control everything with voice except the wife!
Acura has done a marvelous job! I had looked at the new ML, X5 and Q7 and none had the overall package for the price like the MDX.
This vehicle truly sets the standard in this segment.
Great job Acura!!...read morehide

- no auto dim rearview mirror
Been driving my MDX for 2 months, 2800 miles, I live In Denver and we had 3 snow storm in last 3 weeks and this car handles like a dream (i have 18" wheels). Just to respond to Ipod jack issue, I think i found a solution, you dont even need an Ipod, if you get a MDX with Tech package you get a premium sound that has 6 disc changer, the trick is that this stereo can play back DVD's so u put your music on DVD which is 4.5 Gb * 6 discs= 27 Gb of music, how about them appeles!!!!!!! this way you can see all your folders and song titels it awesome. This car deffenetly not a soccer mom's car, what i mean is that is a guy's car, sorry ladies just my opinion, car looks agressive and performs with an agressive style. I have a Black on Black and all my homeBoys call it a "G" ride (the car is deffenetly a looker) it has a inovative fresh look, not like played out X5 or ML. Cant wait for summer to ride with sunfoof down blasting my 27GB of music, as of right now this car sees a lot of mountain passes and ski ressorts. I recomend this car to everyone who wants a smaller suv that feels like luxiry sedan handels like its been glued to the road and has a soul of a sports car...read morehide

- Good fuel economy for 300hp, ride, toys!
- none so far...?
Just picked up my White MDX this week and have to say that this vehicle is amazing!
Had a little snow (2") earlier in the week and the new MDX worked just great!
The car handles and rides like a dream. I had an Audi Q7 on order and got my $1000 back after I tested this new MDX!
The fit, finish, ride, fuel economy, techno toys etc all make this vehicle the best package in this segment.
Acura has done a marvelous job in the design and so many things are so thoughtfully laid out for the driver.
The Nav system with voice recognition as well as the entire Bluetooth system let you control almost every feature in this SUV...
Fantastic vehicle that I would recommend to anyone looking in the Luxury SUV segment...

- Fit, finish, good fuel economy for size & 300HP!
- none so far
Amazing vehicle. 2000 miles on it now and it works flawless and to perfection...
The ride is superb and the techno gagets inside with Blutooth hands free controling just about everything works very very well!
The Nav system works flawless and having the voice recognition makes things seemless.
The power of the 300hp is impressive for the size of the vehicle. I was amazed to get 25mpg average on this vehicle so far and it has surpassed any expectations I may have had ....
Thumbs up Acura, we have a winner in the Luxo SUV Category and all other now have to play "catch-up"!!...read morehide

- High technology which is a must for a demanding engineer and best of all everything works flawlessly
- Have yet to find any
By far, the best vehicle I have ever owned. I have 1200 miles of driving perfection and cannot fnd anything I would want changed. It has peppy acceleration and corners amazingly. I have lower back problems whch usually acts up after about 45 minutes of driving. This is not a problem with the MDX seating. The dealership was top class and even gave us a pound of their features Starbuck's coffee upon delivery....read morehide

- No trim specified for this review
- Powerful car, awesome interior and exterior, many standards, price
- Radio controls, rear view mirror, power tail gate, running boards
PROS.Very good deal for the PRICE compared to X5 or Cayenna. Most BEAUTIFUL interior and exterior. Acura did an amazing job redesigning this car. Lots of STANDARDS that would add 10k @ least on an X5. Great performance. Highest horse power. Incredible navigation system. Blue tooth. Amazing sound system. Voice recognition. Rear view camera is a standard with navigation. I was able to do 24 mi/gallon. Drove 2000 mi.
CONS. With all this luxury, auto dim REAR VIEW MIRROR should have been a standard. Same for the POWER TAIL GATE, which u get with DVD!! For my 4-year old, getting in the car was a problem, as it was too high for her. Without RUNNING Boards, it's tough to get in for the young kids. Radio controls are to small, no big deal!! Got the Acura all-season floor mats. They don't cover the 3rd row.
P.S. my bad experience was with the dealership, not the car. The car don't do well on snow with 19" wheels and Pirelli Pzero (summer high performance tires) that comes with the 19". This information is very confirmed from my experience on icy/slushy roads. Also asked the the servive tech. @ acura after. They said the SHD or VSA is not going to handle those wheels and tires in snowy conditions. With satndard wheels and all-season tires, you shouldn't have a problem. Was only wrong info given to me. We all do mistakes. They didn't know those were not all season tires on the 19" wheels, although I asked! Any beginner driver should know that high perforamce tires are not for winter roads. We all agree!! They do marvelous otherwise!!
Folks, am sure there's nothing wrong with the car itself. It's aweome, I love it. Come on, I just spend 50k. Better enjoy it :)...read morehide

- Great Fuel economy for size and 300hp!
- none so far
Have now 1500 miles on my MDX and love it more & more everytime I drive it!
The car works flawlessly and I have had the opportunity to drive it over 100 miles + on a trip home on the highway in a snow storm. The vehicle is amazing in snow! I had a LR3 and this new MDX is amazing in the snow! Handles like any Subaru or Audi when we talk about the 4 wheel drive system. When I got home, the subdivision streets were not plowed and there was about 1 foot of snow on them... The MDX drove in these types of conditions as if it was a summer day... it was flawless... the reports of it having a hard time in much snow are unfounded with my experience!!
The ride on the vehicle is the best in this category! I tried out the new 07 BMW X5 and it rode like a gravel truck! The inside was blaw and seemed very outdated....
This new MDX sets the standard in this category!
This is a keeper!!
PS On my 1500 miles so far, I have been able to average 22mpg overall... not to bad for a vehicle with 300hp under your right foot!...read morehide

- Very luxurious feel. Lots of gadgets. High Honda Quality.
- High fuel consumption. Center console buttons are small. Third row is not very useful.
Overall, I am so happy to have this truck. For the price, the competition cannot beat the value.
Bought the Base Model after testing the fully loaded version. I didn't want to spend an extra USD 8K on things that could cause headaches when they breakdown (navigation, DVD entertainment system, upgraded stereo, power trunk door).
I cannot help but think the fully loaded model's sport package really makes a big difference. It just felt more sporty and responsive. Now, there was a month between the test drive and delivery date, so my memory might be off. There is absolutely nothing wrong with how the base model drives (100% smooth), it just seems not as responsive.
The Base Model has virtually every gadget I wanted. AC, leather heated seats, XM satellite radio (free for the first three months), power everything, lots of space and Bluetooth capability. It's as big as the Honda Pilot, but just doesn't feel that way. Much more luxurious. The engine just hums. Very powerful. You have to be careful to watch the speedometer as it cruises at 80+ mph so smoothly.
It's only been a short while but I wish it had the back up camera. The blind spot and rear sight lines are not great as there are big pillars compared to my 2003 Honda Accord. The auto dimming review mirror shouldn't be a USD 200 option on such a nice truck (Acura is competing with BMW and Porsche in this segment), but it is. Also, maybe next year Acura will give us the push-button engine start.
Everyone has an opinion on the new look. I love it. My mom thinks it looks like a tank. You will definitely feel safe in it. I put on the sport running boards so my vertically challenged wife (5 feet tall) can get into it. Would highly recommend the sport running boards, as they look much better than the standard rubber coated version (it is also 20 bucks cheaper).
On the negative, I used half a tank (20 gallon tank) to get 180 miles on the highway during the break-in period. The dealer says fuel economy will improve but for a cheap guy like me, it still hurts. Secondly, the buttons on the center console are quite small. It's much more comfortable using the volume and channel controls on the steering wheel. Finally, the third row seats should only be used by very small people as there is very little foot space (this is no different than any other SUV sans the Audi Q7).
I bought it at John Holtz Acura in Rochester. Outstanding customer service and very reasonable on pricing (to the extent that it is a new model and you won't get too much off MSRP...). I used the internet to make initial contact and we did the deal over the phone, email and fax. The salesperson even picked me up from 60 miles away. Highly recommend this dealership.
Finally, I've read an expert review that didn't like how the truck performed in deep snow. Basically the 4WD and all seasons were not useful. I'd be interested to know other people's opinion about the trunk in the snow. Snow tires for this truck will not be cheap...
Good luck all....read morehide

- very luxury, great technology
- 19" tires, very bad traction. Very dangerous in ice or snow
Great car. Except, had the upgrade for the 19" wheels. Was informed that comes with all season tires. My first ride on a snowy day, I looked like a clown. The car had no traction. Very dificult handling. Forget about super handling. Hit the curb when I was making a very slow turn. Found out that the tires installed were high-performance summer tires. Not supposed to be for winter rides. The dealership gave wrong information. Its been a month of complaints, and nothing was done. Now, I know, If it snows, ny super handling SUV will stay in the garage.....SHAME!!!!...read morehide
