- Feels safe and secure, good sound system.
- Primitive back up camera. Feels bulky at slow speeds.
Purchased As New
I owned MDX for more than an year and felt safe and secure while driving in new england winters. Main drawbacks are Feels bulky at slow speeds and Primitive back up camera. It's good that the back up camera is enhanced in 2010 model. It's worth the money.

- Standard everything, SH-AWD makes cornering fun, awesome stereo, comfortable seats
- Gas mileage (but improving), handling a little ponderous when driving slowly
I have had this vehicle for a little more than 800 miles. As i get used to its bulk, I am more and more impressed with the handling characteristics at speed. It shows a real eagerness to take on corners and high-speed, sweeping turns. Moreover, it does this while swaddling me in a luxurious, full-featured interior. The seats are a nice blend between soft, leathery comfort and sporty purpose. The stereo is excellent--even non-DVD-A music sounds full and rich. I can even stand the sound of MP3s now. The kids love the DVD player and I love that I can play the stereo while they listen to their movies with the wireless headsets. The navigation system is quite intuitive. And speaking of intuitive, the massive button layout is not all that threatening once you figure out they're sectioned off according to climate controls, stereo, DVD player, and navigation controls. For a guy who has driven a long line of sporty coupes, sports cars, and sports sedans, I can say that I mightily impressed with the MDX's blend of performance, handling, and comfort. One thing: don't expect good gas mileage. I can get a blend of 18 mpg if I consciously take it easy. Otherwise, I get about 16 mpg with my normal driving habits....read morehide

- good body design, powerful
- horrible craftmanship and poor reliability
08 MDX sports+intertain package for 4 months. back to dealer for repair 7 times with multiple multiple defects. now in dealer shop for unstable suspension repair, which endanger the car operation and drivablity. There is no craftsmanship on the car, horrible finishing with edges and trims. GPS and camera take too long to start. Both dealer and manufacture costomer service are unacceptable with arrogant and self-righteous attitude when contacted. My telephone calls to them were met with stone-wall, in complete opposite of understanding and sympathy for my experience with repair, repair and repair.... It is over $50K car. But I get nothing but troubles....read morehide

- good interior design. roomy. confortable ride. powerful
- very poor quality on details. Multiple defects with repeated repairs
I have the car for three months. Have gone back to the dealer for six times to repair multiple defects. Distorted mirror, warped gas lid, peeling roof molding and bad steering wheel. The quality of the car is very disappointing, unacceptable for any luxury vehicle. I advise anybody think twice to buy Acura MDX....read morehide

- Styling, Good Fuel Economy
- Nothing that would stop me from buying it again
I've had the car for about 6 weeks now. I took it on a trip from NJ to VA a couple weeks ago and did much better than anticipated on fuel economy averaging more than 26 MPG according to the computer. I was shocked to see this number as the vehicle is only rated to get 20 on the highway and I was traveling most of the time above 65 MPH. I'm not heavy on the gas pedal so I've always gotten better fuel economy than what the EPA rates cars at. Don't accelerate too fast, and the truck does very well as far as I'm concerned. My prior vehicle was an '04 TL with the 6spd. manual. The MDX is getting about 4-5 MPG less than the TL which is great considering its weight, shape, and overall mass.
GPS is easy to use, especially if you've ever encountered a system from Mercedes or Toyota. Love the fact you can shut off the screen if not in use. ELS sound system is incredible. Haven't yet watched a movie in it yet myself, however the kids who did were quite happy with the performance. All controls are easy to use which it typical for any Honda engineered vehicle. Bluetooth works better on this vehicle than '04 TL.
It does not drive like a truck. Its quiet, very stable and takes corners well. My only complaint is that the suspension seems to make a noise like it bottoming out on smaller than anticipated bumps or potholes in the road. I have the active suspension option and it does it in either sport or comfort mode. This doesn't happen often, and also could be because the roads in the northeast are just plain lousy. It didn't happen when I was in VA.
I don't think you can beat the truck for the money. I would highly recommend it however I won't because then I'll start seeing them all over the place....read morehide

- This is the most luxurious truck on the market, great look, ride, comfort, the best,
- none so far
I recommend this vehicle to anyone who wants great performance comfort and luxury. I've test drove other comparible SUV's, but nothing compares to the MDX.

- Handling,Drive comfort & performance,Good features,Front appearance.
- Gas guzzler, driver seat comfort, rear doors hard to open for kids.
It must be the most appealing & futuristic front shape in the SUV-market. The SH-handling is very good but not as agile as BMW X5.
Acceleration is best in the class but becomes a gas guzzler as soon as you want power, I had previously owned BMW X5 & Subaru Tribeca, this one is the worst in fuel economy. Very good visibility all around. Good & functional voice recognition system. The SH torque meter is usefull . DEcent leg & arm room .Good sound system, the subwoofer bass hardly reaches the driver but is good for rear seat passengers. Very good & usefull options in AV system. The comfort/Sport mode gives me a very good suspension response for rough road & Highway High-speed handling since I moved from BMW X5, I would'nt want to drive this without sports mode. At Comfort mode drives like a limousine....read morehide

- Love everything about this suv
- gas mileage, would like both outside mirrors to drop down when backing up
I thoroughly enjoy this vehicle. Look foreward to driving it every day. It is everything, and more, than the '04 RX330 I traded in!!!! It was like going from a reclinermobile to a REAL suv. I love the handling, comfort & sport modes, stereo, nav, headlights & being roomy for my 6' frame, looks, fit, finish. Tranny shifts fine. First oil change coming up and cost is $30. Dealership experience excellent!
Would like to see a full size spare tire standard.
My Lexus stickered for $43K(base). For $2K more I got a fully equipped real luxury suv....read morehide

- traditional honda easy to use honda lay-out
- i will outrun a porsche911 with this SUV
The best compromise you've got for the money;
lots of fun, sports package and performance, luxury alike trim, seats for your kids and compartment for your luggages, all in a vehicle that won't break your bank, BOTH in payments and in maintenance. well it drives firm due to sporty packaging....but
sure, you can have an italian sports car or a german SUV, but both it will surely empty your bank in payments and weekly service due to parts breakdown; huh german/italian quality my ass! those cars are already made in china hahahah by an OEM car-maker!
this honda is still at least 60% Japanese.
with this 3.7 MDX i just spank a 911turbo in my initial test run, so how's that?
I LOVE IT!...read morehide
