- The sports car of CUV's
- Ride's a little stiff
Nav system quit working within four days of purchase. We were given a MDX to drive as a loaner which we had for five days because our dealer needed to order a part. The MDX was a nice enough but fun to drive, no way. We made the right choice with the RDX. Now have the RDX for two months and has been trouble free. Excellent value compared to the X3...read morehide

- Technology Package
- Bad Gas milage even worse than what's listed on Dealer Invoice
The car runs good. But I've been in the shop 4 times already in the 5 months that I've owned it for air conditioning problems. The air conditioning keeps failing. The dealership has had it in the shop for 2 and 1/2 weeks this last time and they still can't figure out how to fix it.

- Engine performance-FAST!, Paddle shifters, Sound system, Front seat comfort, Value for overall cost.
- Sports car stiffness, No memory on drivers seat, Lack of tempature gauge.
I know people complain about the stiff ride, but I feel it's necessary to fully enjoy the sports car handeling and performance. This baby is fast, and using the paddle shifters allows the driver to keep the boost up to mantain some really quick off the line starts and passing speeds on the freeway. It may not be fastest by the quarter mile or top end compared to some competitors, but it will get you going where you want in a hurry with a really nice performance sound coming from the engine.
The handeling is awsome and the more I drive the car the more confident I become when barreling onto a highway entry ramp.
The interior is well laid out although it takes some getting used to all the controls and hands-free operations if not acustom to those features. The audio system rivals some home systems, although I wish there were more DVD-Audio titles available, not sure what the plan is by the music industry on that format, but regular CDs and XM radio sound awsome. The rear seats are great for my 11 and 5 year old kid's in regards to comfort and is no prblem for adults for short to medium jaunts.
I was sold on Acura compared to BMW X3 or Mazda CX-7 because of what I got for the overall price and and incredible finance rate of 1.9% from Acura. The dealer was great and the car continues to get better and more fun to drive everytime I get in it for a trip. While the premium fuel and Mobile One might be a bit too rich for some folks, I believe it's necessary with this type of engine technology, i.e. look at your top line performance vehicles (porsche, mercedes, audi) and see what they require. I bought this car to give to my daughter when she's old enough to drive, but the wife has already overruled that idea and wants the vehicle herself- that is- if I'm even willing to give it up in the future....read morehide

- Fun to drive
- doesn't have some expected features
This CUV is comfortable and is a great drive. I've always driven a V6 or V8 so I was somewhat apprehensive about driving a 4cyl with Turbo on the freeway but there was no need. I have a hard time going the speed limit because you don't feel you're going as fast as you are. Fuel economy leaves a lot to be desired but I knew that going in, but it is better than the car I had been driving. I was surprised to find this car didn't have a power hatch, automatic headlights, power passenger seat, driver seat memory or a smart key, but, since I bought this car this obviously didnt dissuade me. Another car I was looking at did have these things but the ride with the RDX was so much better and the controls are easier to use. I love the voice activated features, you don't have to take your eyes off the road.
Another car I was looking at has a wood grain interior and then I found you can add this as an accessory to this car but I don't think it needs it.
The navigation is easy to use and with some set-up can be truly personalized....read morehide

- Fast exceleration Nice looking interior
- Poor Gas Mileage Nauseating Stiff Suspention
My wife and I bought this truck after allot of research and a short test drive. Well we have since sold it for an MDX. Please drive this CUV/SUV on grooved concrete and differant surfaces first. It will make you and your passengers sick if you are not use to it. Also it gets worse gas mileage than a full size pickup in the city or at least on par with one. We wanted to love it but it was tough love and it had to go. We never trade vehicles but we could not stand it. Acura needs to redo the suspention and get better mileage out of it and they will sell allot better....read morehide

- I love it after been stick with Lexus for years
- Not offering smart key entry, memory seat...
I ever had two Lexus for past ten years.
After my research, I test drove the RDX, RX 350, X3, X5, ML350.
Guess what, I found out the best buy is RDX.
Once you sit in, you notice the material Acura use is away ahead of others. The handling is perfect & fast..
Anyway, you've gotta test drive to believe what I said here..
In short, For 34k range...It's the best value & more luxury than Lexus, BMW......read morehide

- Test BMW X3, Lexus RX350 & the RDX is the best.
- none so far
test BMW X3, Lexus RX350 & the RDX is the best. It's the class leading in Acceleration, braking and handling. It's just like a sport sedan & I like it better than my 2006 IS250. (much faster....^_^) Also, the finish and materials is much better than X3 & (even better than Lexus.) Only 34K OTD, you get more than you pay...
We love the RDX & my wife is thinking to trade in her 2006 IS250 for anothr RDX with tech package.. It's our first Acura & it makes us regret to pay more for our Lexus. I highly recommend people test drive the RDX before you make decision....read morehide
