- Nice technology, great power
- Manual doesn't fit in the glove box, needs better MPG
Nice improvment over the old RL. Great technology, power and styling. Needs better fuel economy and a slimmer key remote.

- Low key classy styling, cornering, paddle shifters, sound system, comfort, PRICE!
- rear head room
Classy not flashy, great cornering and performance. This car is quite a step up from my 95 Legend and it is the car I've been waiting for. I really like the throaty sound of the motor as it goes through the gears and even though it is a V6 it has plenty of muscle. Try putting a surround sound CD in the 6 disk front loading CD/DVD changer and you'll be blown away. With a very low coefficient of drag, this car is very quiet on the highways. This car is less expensive than all comparable models in its class and it is fully loaded. Once you get the controls set and the ergonomics dialed in, this car fits like a glove..I love it....read morehide

- Its features, handling, style and safety maches or betters others in its class
- None that I have encountered
IMO, the 2005 RLs value exceeds it purchase price. Of all of the automobiles I have ever owned, this sedan best fits my needs and desires. It has surpassed all of my expectations. In fact, I rate it superior to my former BMW, Lexus, Mercedes, Cadillac and Volvo R cars.
It has style, safety and a sumptuous interior to equal or better any luxury sedan selling for under $70K (and I only paid $48K).
Dashboard controls and display are perfectly placed for me to see and operate. Its navigation and communication system is arguably the best ever offered in any automobile. It provides clear, immediate and detailed visual and audible information.
The shift paddles on the steering wheel along with its proprietary SWHD stability system allows me to take curves and unexpected obstacles simply and safely.
The car is comfortable for driver and passengers and has a ride that is quiet and secure.
My 2005 RL propels with 300hp to make safe passes on highways and climbs mountains with ease.
Overall, I not only like it better then any of my previous cars but dollar for dollar, my 2005 RL is simply the best value out there....read morehide

- Big hp V6, luxurious, sporty and nicely laidout interior, smooth exterior lines, no more FWD, VALUE
- Wanna see a rear wheel drive version too
Huge improvement from the old RL both in power/ performance, and luxury while it also became more sportier. Not much to improve upon cuz all this comes for under $50,000. U can't get this from a Mercedes or BM

- This car has great feel, the SH all-wheel drive is great!
- It could use a little more refinement in the bodystyle, but it still looks good.
I test drove several cars before I test drove the RL. I have to admit, its not the fastest off the line but packs a punch. I would recommend this car to everyone when you compare all what you get for under $50K.

- I wouldn't know where to begin. This car is awesome in virtually every respect.
- Nothing significant.
I bought my RL (Pearl White) a week ago. I absolutely love it. (The wood steering wheel and wood shifter are "must" options.) The amazing hi-tech features are awesome, and highly intuitive. The RL's sleek (and appropriately understated) new exterior design also will undoubtedly remain contemporary for many years. As Acura's advert says, I didn't pick the RL, it picked me. I read these reviews before I bought the car; the few negative comments concerned me, and I can now say that I do not feel there is any real merit to any of them (though obviously there is a lot of subjectivity here). In my opinion, the car has more than enough power (and I wouldn't have bought it if it didn't). It has 300 hp -- a V8 is simply not necessary. Complaints about not having a V8 are based simply on the observation that other top-of-the-line luxury sedans (which generally are significantly more expensive when comparably loaded) have V8s. Also, any complaints about excessive road noise or rough rides are bogus. But don't take my word for it -- drive the car and find out for yourself.
Note that, for many people, there is a certain lack of snob appeal with Acura and other Japanese luxury sedans. Some people simply refuse to buy a luxury sedan that isn't a BMW, Mercedes, or Audi. This works to our advantage because it forces Acura to offer incredible cars that are incredible values. The Acura RL is a ~$60k car priced at ~$50k.
Search the Internet for other reviews (including from the pros) of the new RL. Note also that the RL got 5 stars (the highest rating) on a recent crash/safety test....read morehide

- sound system , overall elecyronics
- rough and noisy ride , light controls not visible at night, seats are not comfortable enough
This is my 3rd Acura RL and I regret I did not go elsewhere. Afterall they increased the price by $10,000, but not the value. The power is not supreme ,The air conditioning is only mediocre and in general there is something lacking, beginning from the appearance to even some quality issues.
