- Lot's hight tech. gadget's, is sweet to drive
- Maybe just a little more leg room in the back.
I just bought my RL a month ago and just think it's great I can't understand some of the negitive feedback... I haven't had a bit of trouble. M y dealership been super with everthing and answered all my questions about the car. I paid extra and got the back up camera and was glad I did, it help's parking a lot. I was going to wait for the 07's but I found out they quit the On Star program and I really wanted that. That;s another great thing, You get a year's worth of On Star and XM- Radio free for the 1st year. It's full of techno. stuff and if you get your book out it's not hard to figure it out if you just take some time with it. I traded my 99' TL in on this and I loved my TL as well, but drive and the handling of this car is far superior. The SH-All wheel drive has everthing beat, the way it corners at hight speed is a marvel. I can only speak for my self but Honda Corp. has all the Competiton beat. Drive On!...read morehide

This car has the technology, safety and everything else for it's class although i couldn't compare this car to Mercedes-Benz S550 or BMW 7-seris but I can tell you what Acura has done with it's performance it is amazing. I'm a Acura RL owner I bought the car with A-SPEC package and let me tell you no matter where I drive I get alot of eye attention. So if your considering buying a $50k Vehicle Acura RL is the way to go with is up to date technology package plus the safety which is the number one priorty is the best. It's very confotable in many ways and its quite. If your living in the Philadelphia area or the suburbs of Philadelphia, Davis Acura which is located on Rt.1 langhorne, Pa are very helpful I'l always bring my business to that dealership and not once I have a compliant. Thank you Davis Acura...read morehide

- Good quality car, a lot of nice features, handles great
- It's to small, leaning more towards sports than luxury
The Acura Rl is a great car. It's a very reliable car but the design is not so good. It would be better if they made the car longer so people can have leg room in the back. I know it would make the car heavier making the car bigger but it can still be fuel efficient. Acura should come out with a six speed transmission so the RL can get great fuel economy. There's no point of making that car small and sport because they already have the TL....read morehide

- All the toys
- rear seat room kind of tight
I looked at the Mercedes E Class, Infinity M Class and BMW 5 series, Lexus GS300. For all I wanted in a car this was the best value for the dollar. I love the way it handles in just about any type of weather. The Bose audio system is super and I love the nav system with all it offers. This is one car that I would never get bored with and if you can believe it after one year of ownership I'm still learning this vehicle. My only wish being 6'2" if I need to carry any additional passengers the rear seat space is very cramped. I wish for the future that Acura would address this issue...read morehide

- Superior handling, especially in adverse winter conditions.
- Sound, navigation, controls, etc. are way, way too complicated.
I bought this car for my mother. Bad mistake, it is way too complicated to use all those wonderful features. Would be okay for me but I'm a techie. But even for me it is way too complicated. I couldn't even change the clock setting because in Alaska there is no navigational database, yet. I had to take it to the Acura dealer to get the clock set. The engineers and designers got way beyond themselves and forgot to keep it SIMPLE for the masses. For crying out loud isn't everyone so busy these days or confused with all the high tech stuff around us, that having to take massive training just to drive your car is a serious headache!!! I love cars that are high tech and high performing, but it must be fairly simple and functional, too. I like most of the features once I figure them out.
The car handles extremely well. Accelerates so smoothly without fuss, that it doesn't feel like you are gunning it even at full throttle. The AWD is very decent on snow and ice even with the electronic control engaged. I always turn off my traction control on my AWD Audi A4 cause it is too annoying. The RL does NOT have that sensation where the thottle is retarded so much you feel like you are stalling when accelerating on ice. AWD is so important in Anchorage for spirited driving year round.
The lighting system is excellent. The headlights are linear, bright and very little wasted light is diffused in random directions. The lights are aimed towards the direction you are turning, that's great on dark rainy nights.
Run flats tires are nice but you can not take them to a regular shop for repairs. Don't count on after market rims to work with the onboard pressure monitor. That systems has special stem valves that work with it.
Count on the back up camera lens to get dirty quickly, if you drive in dusty or sloppy road conditions, such as Anchorage. That decreases its utility.
Lots of other good features, but so many, that there is no way my mom will use them all. If you want simple things in life, this is not your ride....read morehide

- Everything especially security features and technology package
- epg in the city only 18 no heated rear seats
People do not really look at the Acura Rl because it's an Acura but if they stop to smell the rose so to speak you would find and extrodinary car and top in it's class.

- Comfort, interior room, SH awd, BOSE sterio system, Navigation, Smooth on all roads.
- voice recognition
I test drove Lexus, Infinity, BMW and BENZ for the money the Acura had everything I needed. It has lots of interior room and is extremely comfortable. I bought the A-spec model with all the trim for the bumbers and sides and the 18 inch rims, it really looks sharp and sleak on the outside. The BOSE stereo system has a clean sound. I dont care about Howard Stern so XM is perfect for me. The voice recognition for me does not work all that well but I speak very quick. A must buy for the Honda motor i-vtec it will last forever and is a smooth sounding. The paddle shifters are fun and makes the driving experience perfect...read morehide

- Best tech car on the market
- no real cons.
Still working out a few bugs with brakes. Overall, this is the fourth and best RL that I have owned. I started with the '96 RL, then to '00, my first with navigation, then the improved '03, and now the totally different '06. Work out a few more bugs, Honda, and it will be a "hands off" car, totally driven by voice commands!!...read morehide

- Loaded, decent quality, low insurance
- looks like my sons accord, discounted heavily now, slow
What a mistake. I bought this car for 49k new and they are now being sold for 39k due to slow sales. I am so mad. Resale has plummted.
And if one more of my sons friends tells me I should have got a Lexus or they can't tell the difference between my rl and his accord, I will scream!!!
A nice car but not worth the money....read morehide
