- Great GPS, Smooth Ride, Amazing AWD system
- Rear-window defrost takes too long to heat up for such a high quality car
In all, amazing car!
Driving is smooth, no noise, and great stearing.
The Super-handling-AWD is by far the best AWD systems available on the market.
Great handling in rain, snow, sun, anything!
GPS system is unparallel, with many points of interest and names of every park, school, mall, cemetary, and LOTS more.
Could use somemore power when you floor it, but it makes up for it at the top end.
Great breaks. Almost as good as the Mercedes-benz brembo AMG breaks.
One MAJOR downfall; NO 6th GEAR?!?!?!...read morehide

- no wind noise, great stereo, top GPS, comfy seats, road hugging
- fuel economy, ride is a little stiff, would like more power
Absolutely best car for the money...in its class. This car is so well built and has many unique quality features that you expect in cars costing over 10k more.

- Amenities, Interior, AWD, Comfortable, excellent value for the money.
- Backup camera could be better, styling is subjective
I've actually had the 2006 RL for the last 12 months. By far the best value in it's class. Other purchasing considerations were the Infiniti M35, Lexus GS300, BMW 530, and Mercedes E350. I easily saved $5-10K compared to the above mentioned vechicles Due to lack of demand, deals on 2007 and remaining 2006 RLs are $8-10K below sticker and a $2-3K below invoice. The interior is outstanding and the features are excellent. Voice recognition, On-star, bluetooth, XM radio, rear (power) and side sunshades, keyless entry and paddle shifters were standard on my 2006. Also the number of airbags and safety features are attractive. The engine reevs nicely but the lack of torque in Honda and Honda made vechicles is apparent. The AWD is exceptional in the rain and provides excellent stability and driver feedback. While driving in 1-2 inches of rain on the road, at no time did I feel like I would hydro plane at 40-50 mph. Minor complaints and I say minor are the leather quality could be a tad better, looks are subjective, 17" tire and rims (18" would have been better), the keyless ignition should be a true push start system, and the speed limiter at 120mph. People pay for 290 horses and I believe it should at least be limited at 155mph like most other vehicles. Not just because of speed but also because of the number of dangerous and violent drivers on the road today (subjective opinion). Valencia Acura was an excellent dealer. Grabbed a brochure on Thursday, test drove on Friday, Negotitated terms and price for an hour on Saturday, and an hour with the finance guy on Sunday. Plus they didn't offer me any extras. I've driven this car to Las Vegas, San Jose, and San Diego numberous times and it's an excellent car for long distance averaging 22-26 mpg. As a daily commuter it's also excellent but in Los Angeles traffic the mpg drops drop to 17-20 mpg. I've owned or still own a 99 Mustang GT, 01 Mercedes 320, 01 Toyota Highlander, 04 Lexus RX330, and a 99 Yamaha R1 motorcycle that lends to my opinion of the RL....read morehide

- Smooth ride, Comfortable seats, I smile every time I drive it, so much more comfortable than by BMW
- None for me, some find its looks a bit understated but it is a fine machine.
This is a car for long trips, it is soomth and comfortable. This is a large heavy car. It is not a ripping sports coupe. While it will give you some of the feel of a sports coupe, its ride is much more refined. Leans much more on the luxury side than the sports side. This car blows my BMW away for ride comfort, but the BMW blows this away for a drivers experence. We love our RL for trips and we love our Z4 for heads up twisty roads. We now have the best of both worlds....read morehide

- My RL is incredibly comfortable and fun to drive. The fuel economy is better than advertised.
- Requires premium gasoline. Could use more trunk space
RL is a very good value, with all creature comforts including satellite radio, navigation system, and surround sound system standard. The car handles extremely well in corners and turns, and accelerates rapidly for easy passing on windy country roads in New England ski country. Heated seats nice on cold days. Bluetooth technology allows me to link my cell phone for handsfree operation while driving, and many of the other controls in the car (audio, temperature) can be voice-activated and controlled. The controls are set up to maximize drivers' hands being on the steerin wheel, where they belong....read morehide

- Extremely smooth and quiet. Handling is awesome. Navigation and voice controls once you learn them.
- Powerful, but lacks V8 punch off the line. Trunk is smallish.
I've owned my 2006 RL for 4 months and 3,500 miles. Window sticker price was high - $49,500, but I paid just under $44 - a fair price for this car. REALLY fun to drive! Stomp on the gas on a freeway clover leaf and the SH-AWD keeps you stuck to the road - the faster you corner the better it sticks. It will be hard to keep from getting tickets in this car - it's so quiet and smooth even at 90 mph.
The interior is top notch quality and very comfortable. Back seat isn't the largest, but this is a drivers sedan and space is adequate. Keyless system is great, adjusting everything to you when you grab the door handle. Cabin lighting inside at night is cool. I like the blue gauges and lighting in the RL vs. the reds/orange found in a BMW. Nav system is great - particularly the real time traffic info, which makes the drive home from work as fast as possible. The audio system is also amazing - especially if you spring for the DTS5.1 CDs (Acura gives you one for free). Taupe interior is a little hard to keep clean with kids, but sure looks rich.
Keyless entry/start system is nice - never fumble for a key, just grab the handle and go, or touch the outside of the door handle to lock. Backlighting on the door handles is cool at night. Dealer threw in a set of chrome wheels that really look nice. If I were buying again, I would spend the couple of thousand extra and added the adaptive cruise control - to keep from crashing while I read my blackberry while driving...which reminds me - the bluetooth system is great too!
This car really makes you feel good. Best car I've owned yet....read morehide

- Super Handling, Acceleration, Comfort and Safety Features
- Back seats a tad short on leg room for taller adults
Best car for the money without question in it's class. The extreme comfort, handling, safety features and ease of use make it a winner. Nav system easy to operate and very accurate. Best sound system I ever heard period. This Acura is fast !! The all wheel drive system keeps you glued to the road. Really enjoy the headlights that turn when you turn the steering wheel. Drive it and you'll see what I'm talking about....read morehide

- 26 MPG on 80mph, that is perfect
- Braking system excellent
Very smooth ride. Super-handling AWD, stereo, better than advertised gas mileage, navigation and traffic info, and especially the endless list of technology that makes the car so fun to drive.
