i love the new TL'S BUT since i saw the new bmw's, i forget about the tls. The new bmw offering 255 Hp with 3 liters engine. put couple of more grans and get with all wheel drive. They got better stabality control system with 6 SPEEED AUTOMATIC. WAO. IT HAS A BETTER HANDLING ON CORNERS AND 6 SPEED IS SO SMOOTH. Even it has a better traction control. i test drove both and i preferd the new bm's. Technology is the key of succes for bmws. They dont buy, they invent and therefore they known as "ultimate driving machinces"....read morehide

- Handling, Exterior/interior style, Roomy backseats for a sporty car
- Front wheel drive
Considered and droven Infiniti G35, BMW 3, Audi A4, and Acura TL. Performance, features, reliability, safety and value were all in the equation. In the end, I went with TL with the only regret of lacking RWD. However, TL handling is already superb, so this is bearable. There have been rumors floating around that future TL models will offer AWD as in RL so will seriously consider getting a second TL three years down the road....read morehide

- Seats are comfortable, lighting array pretty impressive w/nav and speedometer.
- havent found anything to complain about yet, wish I had 2 work and leisure
I have been watching the progress of this car since 2002, I test drove it that year before the change of the body in 04 along with the BMW3, LEXUS, and INFINITY, I was in OHIO at the time with the season changes and snow, and just overall I went with the AUDI A4 QUATRO. but I admit when the 04 came out I was like TIME TO CHANGE UP. not at all saying I didnt enjoy my AUDI, its a AWESOME car as well, but you definetly can feel the change Overall in driving both vehicles. dont get me wrong AUDI still gets my props once a AUDI driver always a AUDI driver, but the ACURA TL, Has my heart now. The car still is FRESH just purchased it. with the Maroon Red Exterior with the PEANUT INTERIOR, very unique distinquished color, I purchased the car right before deploying so I pretty much had to lay it up,but the few days I driven it, I found it to be extremely comfortable plenty of room Im 5'8 185 lbs, and I have a 12 KICKER SUBWOOFER, enclosure, for the rear, not hooked up just yet, but it fits perfectly in the back, with plenty of room, I dont understand what people mean about trunk space, I see plenty, maybe my AUDI was small or somthing. As far as TRIM, my previous vehicles besides the AUDI, was a 00 CHRYSLER 300M and the ACURA brings back some of the memories of the room that I had in that vehicle, but far as technology hands down the TL is astronomical, and no comparison to either vehicle. The Rattling I read from other users, havent experienced it yet. I will be sure to LISTEN REAL HARD if I can turn down the XM RADIO that SOUNDS REAL good I might add, and when I have my SUB installed.. O lord LOOK OUT, I dont even listen to CD's anymore ,and the cassette lets just say thats there for decoration. MP3's naaa.. I like to be surprised when I am listening while driving and XM delivers, NAVIGATION.. I feel like BATMAN at night. Had NAV in my AUDI but just the arrow and voice, I WISH I HAD THE REAL-TIME like in RL then I would be Super Man. OVERALL, When I went to bed that night from buying the car I didnt feel like I made a mistake, I woke up proud and happy with my purchase....read morehide

- fast as a light switch.
- too fast for its own good. poorly assembled
Ok lets talk facts. This car is fast! in fact...........very fast. But who ever said fast was ( SAFE )? The TL is a pleasure to look at, driving it feels even better. The interior is nice and well put together, as far as luxury goes! this isnt it. Sound system is powerful and guaranted to turn heads, but thats where the goodies end. the ride noise is unbearable, the faster you go the louder the noise, honestly i feel you can drive so fast you'll probly be able to shake the screws loose. overall nice car, great proformer, but it feels like a drive at your own risk kinda ride. The car was poorly assembled....read morehide

- performance, stereo, and hands free everything and I do mean everything!
- everything begins to rattle after the first few thousand miles
The ride isn't that nice but it is a four door spots car, the performance and stereo are unrivaled in it's class and above for that matter, BUT the craftmanship has a lot to be desired. The whole car will begin to rattle after a few thousand miles, from the stereo to the seat belt to the door fixtures. Everyone in the greater san diego are has the dark grey color as well. But I t will leave just about every car on the freeway in its dust if you choose and thats the automatic, If I had purchased the manual I probably would have a lot of speeding tickets by now....read morehide

- This automobile exudes value in every aspect. Everyone else must be scurrying around to catch up.
- Front doors are really wiiiide !!!
I am sure that European auto enthusiasts and salespeople are just sick over the TL's refinement and scatability. As a former BMW and Mercedes owner, I was skeptical when our daughter said, "Dad, you need to at least look at the brochure". (She had just bought an '04 TL... she lives in NC and I live in AR.)
Well, I looked at the brochure she sent me and thought it was a nice printing job with interesting copy. But, of course, the darned thing can't be that good.
So then I just "stopped by" our Fayetteville Dealership to see what she was so "pumped" about. I looked, took a ride, and was, frankly, stunned. The automobile was exactly as advertised... by Acura and, more importantly, by our daughter.
Ours TL is Redondo Red with Cream Leather, purrs like a kitten until you kick it and has an interior trim level second to NONE. The surround DVD audio is excellent, the GPS outstanding and the Bluetooth phone hook up should be mandatory in every new car.
Sorry, BMW, Audi, Mercedes, Cadillac et al. We looked at your products, too, but they couldn't make the cut on just plain oldtime value and quality.
(32 MPG road, too.)
I'm sure you know all this and you are trying to react. Good luck....read morehide

- GPS is wonderful, excellent financing packages through Honda Corp. Love the styling and detail work.
Excellent buy and I would highly recommend this car to anyone who is looking for a stylish, comfort sedan yet with 270 horses to boot. Not to mention, you can add the new spoiler kit, more horsepower (315 hp) and rims (22's).
I wish I could post a photo of mine. A 2005 TL custom pearl and silver metallic paint job w/ nav. and quartz leather, 3 12' Solo Baric Subs, 6 Alpine component Speakers throughout, 2 Directlink 7" TV's, 1 in dash TV and DVD player, 3 2000 watt Alpine Amps.
With 22' chrome Govianni Rims, upgraded braking system, that's enough.....trust me the Acura dressed up or just off the show room floor is something SWEET!...read morehide

- So many bells and whistles; navigation; dvd-audio, heated seats; overall comfort
- no automatic headlights or windshield wipers.
I just purchased my 2005 new ACURA TL automatic with NAVIGATION and the car is AMAZING. Prior to purchasing this car, I drove a 1999 Mercedes C230 kompressor. I thought that I would always purchase a Mercedes in the future because I LOVED my car...that was until my husband purchased his 2005 Mercedes C230K. I was able to see just how cheap Mercedes has become relative to their entry level near-luxury sedans. My husband's vehicle doesn't even have power driver and passenger seats. You have to use a lever to move the seat forward and back. This was THE BIGGEST turn-off for me.....because quite frankly, it's still a $33,000 + car, and after all, it is a Mercedes. There are NO bells and whistles on his car. I've been researching new cars for almost a year now because I'm pretty selective, and still wanted to stay under the $40,000 price range. I finally thought I had decided on the new 2005 Lexus ES 330. The car has such a refined interior that is so luxurious...and drives so smooth....HOWEVER, the exterior is just so ugly. I actually still have a $500 deposit on a car that should be coming in on 3/17....I have to go back to lexus and get my deposit back....SINCE I just purchased my TL. This car has everything I ever wanted and more. The features are amazing, and my poor husband is a little jealous. Hoehn Acura in Carlsbad, CA was amazing to deal with. I dealt with the internet sales guy who was so pleasant, and everyone at the dealership was so nice as well. I went to Cush Acura in Kearny Mesa and met with the Internet Sales Guy there who basically made me feel like I was wasting his time, and told me to go buy my car from Hoehn if they gave me the deal I told him they gave me....and I did just that. IF YOU CHOOSE TO BUY THIS CAR, YOU WILL LOVE IT. I test drove BMW 325, 330 & X3, Mercedes C230, C240, and ML350, and Lexus ES330. I also checked out volvo s40, s60, and audi a4. This car was the best by far. Good luck to you....read morehide

- Great Styling, Love the Navigation System. Lot's of power!
- Front drivers seat uncomfortable. If you have a butt/waist more than 36"
I Love my 05 TL. Except the front drivers seat is very uncomforatble. I have a siz3 38 waist. My left thigh gets extremely sore if I ride in the car for more than 15 minutes. This is due to the design of the seat. So I guess I need to loose some weight. So watch the seating area and really sit in the car for a long time before you sign on the dotted line....read morehide

- Good fuel economy, excellent GPS system, awsome interior design
- no day running lights
With $35,000 you cannot get BMW or Mercedes as fully loaded as the TL. This car has a very unique design, good power...they should build a RWD TL. Good milage and horsepower for the V6 engine.
