- detailed navigation system, very stylish look, good sound, voice activation is incredible
- fuel economy is so-so, bit cramped for a family car
i bought this car about a month ago and it is great for me! The navigation system holds all types of information including restaurants, banks, schools, etc. I love the voice activation that controls everything so i don't have to look down. My brother also bought a car like this and also is very pleased. However, he has a family of four and it is a bit cramped with the new styling. Because of the trunk coming up to a point, the compartment space is very limited as well....read morehide

- good fuel economy , nice shape and good braking
- interior noises, no fog lights
they interior rattling on some panels is irritating, I did correct some of noises myself by installing a thin foam lining on the dash panels this helps a lot ,noises from the roof are however due to cheap clips and hard plastic attachments.Besides the noises the car is worth the value
For new buyers take a look at the lexus IS-350 this car is in the same category as the Tl....read morehide

- value, value , value. dependability. Nav and voice recognition are excellent. Very quiet, cozy car
Drove the Audi A.4, Passat, Lexus IS350, and G35...all with a little more stylish exteriors....none of them could touch the overall combination of comfort, quiet, responsiveness, reliability, and extras that Acura offers for the price.

- Good fuel economy at over 27mpg city/highway.
- Does seem to pull to the right.
Drove it down to La and back over the weekend and averaged 29mpg at avg speed of 69mph. The ride was very smooth as the interior seats really buffet any rough suspension. Interior room was excellent with the XM radio coverage excellent.

- nice styling, interior is appealing, and handling is good
- Ride is way too rough, you feel every bump - not bad for driving around town, but on a long trip
This car is attractive, but make sure and spend a lot of time test driving before you buy. I will never buy another acura TL. Way too harsh of a ride.

- Thrilling power and acceleration, roomy and luxurious
- None, this car is perfect
If I die and go to heaven tomorrow, I'll be happy knowing that I bought and enjoyed the finest mass produced luxury car money can buy. This car beats the pants off the Beamers (all of them, 300 through 700) and the Lexuses and it's priced much lower. The ride, of course, is like magic with thrilling power and acceleration. Inside it's roomy and luxurious. The seats are unique with side bolsters that cradle you in smooth, soft, perfect leather. The door rails have stainless steel step plates. The navigation and audio systems are the easiest and most intuitive to use of any of the other cars I test drove. All the comfort and convenience systems can also be controlled by voice command! But it's the ride, that feeling of power and tight handling that seduces. You'll fall in love with this one, I guarantee....read morehide

- Many standard features. Good gas mileage. Quick.
- Firm ride. Hard seats. Reliability.
Had my 2005 for 6 months and got stranded because it would not start. Had to have it towed to dealership. Very skeptical of future reliability. Nice styling, rides good, upscale interior. But if it is in the dealership you can't enjoy those features.

- Enough technology to keep you preoccupied in your garage during your days off, comfort, price
- mileage, torque steer during quick turns
Traded my '96 Accord for an '06 TL. Best decision so far. Very responsive. Definitely quick and acceleration leaves little to be desired. Automatic up and downshifts are flawless. No rattles so far (except from the empty DVD-audio cases as I push the vehicle hard). Torque steer noticeable with quick turns. Torque more than adequate for daily driving. DVD-audio impressive. Nothing like long weekend rides in my TL as I listen to Marvin Gaye or comedy channel on XM radio. Navigation easy to use but database needs upgrading. I live in rural New Mexico and many areas are not recognized. Perhaps an annual or even twice a year update will help. Mileage not the best but I suppose that is the price to pay for power and near luxury comfort. Dual climate controls very helpful in sunny New Mexico. Headroom and legroom are more than adequate even for rear passengers. Trunk space is great. Exterior styling definitely makes head turn. Interior comfort and design best I've seen so far. Plus, not as ubiquitous as a BMW or G35. All these for $33,100 out the door. Hell of a deal I'd say. Acura definitely leads the pack in innovative technology....read morehide

- sharp looks , nice interior, good on trips.
- brakes and some rattles, start up in the morning.
It's a very nice car , but in high speeds which the TL will do, brakes seem to need some work done on them. handling is second to none . personally taken corners at 100+ and almost no squeel from the tires, she will keep up with the famous STI after you reach 100+ . rolling start of course . for 30K + this car is worth the money. but the nav system is a pain when it comes to updates "so many roads not enough accurate info" if a highway is there and it does not show it on the nav there is a problem. know this my TL is not stock anymore, some upgrades....read morehide

- Ride on h'way, navi, good fuel economy
- electrical system and rattle
This is my fourth Acura beginning with a 1980 model. The 2005 TL is a great overall car. It has an excellent ride and handling. The navi is excellent but I noticed that it got lost in Cape May NJ.
Most of my driving is in NYC and car rides very well on bumpy Manhattan streets.
Had electrical problems twice. Got a notice from Acura about a problem with the navi drawing elec even when the car was off. Brought to dealer after getting jumped twice.
Am also driving a 2001 CL/S which is a little more peppy but not as good a ride as current model.
Overall: A great car with great value....read morehide
