Purchased As Not Purchased
The car costs too much & isn't worth it. I paid about $40M for mine back in '06. 4 yrs. later it's worth $7,500.00! That's right I said $7,500.00! Go figure because I still owe $29,000 on the damn thing. It's rated as a sports car costs could be higher i.e. insurance & registration, glare from windshield onto dash & driver side window causes viewing disruptions while driving in sunny conditions. I had more warranty problems with it than any car I've ever owned. 3-1/2 yrs. worth of warranty problems. I was so afraid I had to buy an additional warranty to cover anything else that came up for $1,600. Again I've never had to do that for any car I've owned over 20 yrs. The navigation system was outdated when I bought it, no one told me it costs $200 to upgrade! If your navi system is stolen, the theif has to take the entire dash out. No regular insurance companies will pay for that. You have to get an additional warranty from Acura which will replace it as long as it's under warranty. The replacement cost runs around $4,000.00. So it's pretty much useless for $2,000.00. The brakes wore out in less than 6 mos., my seat belt sticks and jams even after replacing it, 4 batteries died finally went with a die hard, 4 of the 8 speakers blew out, I hardly played music unless I was on a road trip, navigation went out several times, tires are very expensive, engine light came on for no reason, driver seat squeaks, windows go off line frequently scratching my expensive Nano tint, got a rock crack in windshield causing me to have to replace it. Honda wanted $900 for a new windshield! I went with an after market part for $200. Keep in mind if you have an accident, there are no after market parts for this car. You're going to get gouged by Honda for the parts. The collision shops really can't do anything to change that. I tried to complain to Honda about the problems I was experiencing, they told me to buzz off. I went to the Better Business Bureau and they told all of us to buzz off. They refused to do anything to assist including extend my warranty which was all I asked for. They're sons of bitches and I wouldn't buy jack from them every again! Their product is crappy but very expensive. A Honda owner told me that it's common for the brakes to go out on their products in the first 6 mos. of ownership. Go figure! That's why their stock is down today and I'm glad. You do ugly to your customers you get it back eventually. Stay away from any Japanese products. They're greedy assholes that don't appreciate their customers. Look at Toyota for example and how they treated their customers. Now look at them today, begging for business when they blatantly disregarded customer safety. Honda/Acura is no different. Go German or stick to American made vehicles if you don't want to be spit on by the Japs. Just a warning...listen or don't but the regret will be yours later...especially when the depreciation starts to hit home vs. your actually loan balance! Buy a used car, depreciation is less tragic.
