| Pros: | Acura reliability, performance, appearance, Bluetooth |
| Cons: | Would like to see future models run on 87 octane |
I absolutely LOVE my ’08 TL! I took delivery on June 16th and could not be happier. And the best part of all is that I got an amazing deal on it!! My last car was 10 years old, so I wanted to be 1000% sure my next car would be something that I really loved. I test drove many other cars including the Lexus ES 350. And while the new style of the Lexus is beautiful, it was spongy and felt like a retirement vehicle. I also test drove some cross-overs, but then I realized that they’re the modern day station wagon. Nothing beats the performance of a sedan.
Getting back to the TL, it is divine! It is the perfect combination of performance and luxury. It handles like a dream, very responsive. This car has more power than I need. But it’s nice to know that it’s there if I need it. The stereo system is amazing. I thought CD’s sounded good, but the DVD audio is a WOW experience. I got it in diamond white with the taupe interior. It’s gorgeous! And even though this body style has been out for a few years, it is anything but boring. I love the classy and understated lines of this car. The interior however is anything but understated!
The gas mileage is ok, averaging about 22 MPG overall. Most of my driving is city. I only have 700 miles on it so far, hopefully once the engine is broken in some more, it will improve. But for a performance car, that isn’t bad at all! My last car had 60 less HP and I got the same MPG. No complaints here.
I would buy the TL again in a heartbeat!

| Pros: | Bigger bang for the buck!Compared to other cars in its class TL-S offers more features for the price |
| Cons: | Windows, dashboard rattle a lot and brakes sometimes clank. Transmission not very smooth. |
Overall a great car except for the rattles which can be irritating at times. Previously owned 2006 TSX.

| Pros: | Good Fuel Economy for a power car, Punchy acceleration, Fun to Drive, Good cruising car on Highways |
| Cons: | I-pod does not sync up to Display screen, Cluttered dash..tape deck,Cd,AM/FM,XM..Steering pulls |
Just bought this car:
The styling is nice....A lot of room for the driver and passenger...easy to function navigation either manually via touch screen or through voice recognition(Which can be tedious to do some menial task)..Blue tooth works great..sterio mutes when dialing or recieving....you can store up to 50 numbers...The sound system is decent...the steering wheel has a lot of the nessessary buttons to work evertything from bluetooth to navigation to the radio and volume....The stick shifts well and the clutch it decent (A little long...similar to Saabs 9-5 areo sedan) but overall good feel...becasue it is a 6-speed gear-box the gears are a bit short but this gives it a more sporty feel by shifting as little or as much as you want,,,I often go from 2 to 4 or 5th gear...the car is real quick off the line...0-60 in 5.5...a good amount quicker then the G-35 which goes 0-60 in 5.9....However the steering takes some getting use too...because its front wheel drive when accelerating around truns the wheel wants to straighten out...it just takes a little more effort to hold the desired line when accelerating...Trunk is spacious...hold about 3 golf bags...the back seat is relatively roomy...overall this is a great car...if you wait a little longer to buy or lease this type of car...acura is coming out in October with the new 2009 which you have the option to get it in either all wheel drive or front...

| Pros: | GPS a great addition & works well, XM great deal, trim package excellent! Love this updated version |
| Cons: | None yet (except cracked windshield from road pebbles)...Great car! |
Traded a 2003 for the updated version of the TL-S, and absolutely LOVE it! Navigation & XM satellite radio big pluses, as is 286 hp...you can have your beemers, your Lexus "high-ends" that everyone else has and the muscle cars...the TL-S has all of it rolled into one high-performance car. Looks stylish, wheels much better design, a much sportier version! No complaints - don't understand all the neg on this site...BMW/Lexus salesmen?

| Pros: | good styling, decent power, great headlights |
| Cons: | ride to rough, sound system is crap, rattles everywhere |
This car does not live up to the name of an Acura. I also own a Nissan Maxima (SE) and that car owns the TL in every catergory. The nissan has more power, more standard options, better sound system, NO RATTLES anywhere. It also has a better ride than the TL. The Nissans steering colum is motorized and the TL's colum is adjusted by hand. Also the Nissan's side mirrors fold up with a flip on a switch, where the TL's mirrors are folded up by hand. The Nissan has room and it cost 3 grand less. I like the TL but for the money I thought I would at least get a better car than the Nissan Maxima.

| Pros: | Fast, Fun, Quick, Excellent handling, Very responsive, Great Value. |
| Cons: | Stereo speakers somewhat lacking...(too much treble/mid-range fade-out). |
Previously owned Acura Legend, traded for 2008 TL TypeS, Carbon Bronze Pearl. Overall, great automobile...Front oversized brakes, 286 hsp - very quick off the line, heated seat & mirrors, Nav works great, 6 cd indash, DVD in trunk, all leather, voice commands, handsfree bluetooth, XMS radio, seat/mirror auto set for up to 2 drivers, 17 inch rims, upgrade suspension, high performance tires, iPod hookup, manual/auto trans with steering wheel shift paddles, and much more included.
Excellent cornering, stability...this car bites into the road.
Before trade I drove BMW 326i and 530 and from a performance, handling perspective I could tell no difference between the Acura and BMW. This being the case I was somewhat disappointed in the bimmer...expected much more. Also the leather in the BMW reminded of "hard" leather used in the Ford taurus. Also, everthing is included in the Acura as opposed to BMW, example, 6 cd changer, BMW could install as option for addl $700 yet not avail in-dash, trunk only.
Avg 19 mpg and do 90% city driving. Steering radius could be tighter, stereo speaker could be better...a bit disappointed with those, however, was aware of these issues prior to purchase. Other than these two items I love the car...receive nothing but compliments and kudo's.
I rediscovered the fun/thrill of driving.

| Pros: | personalized settings, all the S Type features and options |
| Cons: | partial (versus full) access to trunk from backseat, wide turn radius |
We wanted a midsize four door commuter car that was practical, fun to drive, comfortable, functional and reliable - we got all that and much more. We did the usual comparisons with every car in this class and then some. The "TL S Type" kept coming out on top considering price versus every available option one could ask for/use. Quad tail pipes, TL and S Type logos on seats, floor mats and trunk, sporty rims and performance tires left us realizing the car needs nothing else for us to add on - just enjoy. We got big bad blk-on-blk but other colors offered in this package are winners too. We like the fact the cd changer is NOT in the trunk. Plus Xenon HID headlamps, backup camera, tire pressure monitring system, brembro brakes, friendly bluetooth, personal settings, 3 garage door opener, voice commands that work, dual climate control and dual power seats. So far no rattling noises. Yes, outlet is placed poorly and interior panels scuff easy. However the pros greatly diminish the cons. We knew going in the flagship model of Acura, the TL was going to be remodelled for 2009. We decided to take advantage of that by getting a great price so shop around great deals and ACURA low interest rates are out there! If you need all wheel drive, wait for the 2009 models. Our 100mile per day commute is fun thanks to the S Type.

| Pros: | Fast, Sport but yet, still Classy |
| Cons: | Stock "S" Rims (Get the A Spec Ones) |
Overall, this car is an unbelievable value. For 286 HP, I regularly get 28-30 MPG on the highway. The exhaust has a nice sound to it. The Acura NAVI is one of the best in the industry as well (works while driving!!!)

| Pros: | Excellent value for money |
| Cons: | RATTLES, RATTLES, RATTLES |
I live in OC, CA where every other car on road seems like BMW 328i which is a nice car but for the money, I found TL is a better value; more horse power, roomier interior & trunk space, more standard features, etc.
However, within a week after I bought the car, it started to rattle whenever the moonroof was in tilt position. It is quite annoying. The rattle makes the car feel like a cheap economy car, something I would not expect it for almost $40 thousand dollar car. I took it to the dealer for repair several times but no success. They replaced the rubber visor & even took apart the navigation/CD player. Now, I'm driving only w/ the moonroof open or close, no tilt.
No power folding side mirrors (not even an option) instaed of, say, heated seats & both side mirrors do not automaticaaly tilt down when you reverse; only the side you selected tilts down (I found it inconvenient)

I am thrilled w/ My 2008 Acura TL....I traded in my Infiniti G35 and there is no comarison. This car rocks!
My Mother just purchased the 2008 BMW 328i Sedan...there is no comparison. For her $43,000 ...No navigation, no back up camera, and her phone and Homelink wont sync. She has been back to the dealer a half a dozen times to work out the kinks....big deal she gets a free year of sirius!
The ACURA is roomier in the back and the trunk....the gas mileage and performance seem to be superior.....
I have no regrets about purchasing my 2008 TL.
