Oscars Going from Red to Green Carpet

The Oscars are the pinnacle of celebrity events, when the entire world looks towards Hollywood for style and fashion cues. And while something like the environment may not be fashion, it is fashionable. During Oscar week this year, one event stood out from the traditional party circuit by focusing on the greener side of Hollywood. From its green carpet to the absence of the traditional black stretch limousines that crowd most Hollywood events, the Global Green USA Pre-Oscar party exemplifies the growing relationship between celebrities and the environment.

Party co-hosts Leonardo DiCaprio and Penelope Cruz both showed up in their vehicle of choice, a Toyota Prius. Other stars who arrived in a Prius included Joshua Jackson, Diane Kruger, and Orlando Bloom, to name just a few.
