I bought my A3 in 2007.
Here are the facts:
A tire by “Continental” blew up at 65 miles an hour on my first road trip.
The car had only about 100 miles on it at that time.
The car has about 80,000 mile on it now.
Over the time after the warranty got expired, I had to fix a leaking air-conditioning system ($500), replace a breather valve and leaking crank-case cover gasket ($500),
the Intake Flap Motor had to be replaced ($900).
You’ ll be your own judge.
I will never buy an Audi again.
Based on my experience, they make good looking cars but quality of the parts they use is poor.
I had never had so many problems with any other car I owned before....read morehide

they are wrong with the mpg you get more thant he lexus i have a 2003 jetta tdi and i am averaging 55-60 mpg using just diesel and they also dont mention that for around 300 dollas you can get a cooking oil conversion kit which can take you out to almost 80 mpg and the diesel is better for the environment!...read morehide

This car has no front bumper and the poor grill will absorb all the damage from the little bumps that occur from time to time

Had it for 3 years now. So fun to drive. I too did the APR upgrade and it's a bullet around town. So far nothing major has gone wrong, but I'm approaching 50k miles, so time to do some preventative maintenance! My warranty is also about to expire. I have had this car for 3 years. APR has transformed it into an Evo or STI. Wish it had quattro with all this power.
I am still getting 27 MPG, no mechanical problems.
