I need to ammend my earlier review of the A5 coupe with reference to water pump issues on some A5 and other Audi models that have plastic water pumps that may fail in cold weather and cause a coolant leak. A metal pump is available to replace it. I live in the South and winter is mild here so that is probably why I had not heard of any problems, but if you live in colder climes, it probably should be addressed with your dealer. Exceptional styling, great 4 cyl turbo engine, reliable

This is arguably the most beautiful coupe, inside and out, for a reasonable price on the road today. It has had only minor changes since it came on market in 2008 and doesn't really need any. Drives smoothly -- enjoyed it on the famous switchbacks on US29 in NC mountains. 4 cyl turbo engine may lack horsepower in comparison to competitors, but has plenty of torque and pep and is very fuel efficient (I get 35-36 mpg on the highway). If you want a muscle version, there is the S5 . Consumer Reports downgrade reliability for issues with engine cooling in 2010 models, but their sampling is often skewed and I have heard no such talk from Audi owners. Mine has been absolutely flawless for over 2 years. Solid build -- withstood hitting a melon sized boulder head on to the right front wheel at 40 mph with no damage. Prestige package now includes backup camera, an omission in some previous years. Has been in short supply in some markets because of demand and often commands close to full price....read morehide

Car drives nicely with nice pep. Its competitors have more horse power in there coupes but audi's torquey engine makes up for it for the most part
